• Chapter Two: UNBELIEVABLE

I woke up the next morning. Eichi was standing by the foot of the bed, looking disgusted. Takuto was with him, smiling at me. "Mornin' Ayu," Takuto giggled. He gazed at Eichi, who glared back at him. Eichi's eyes had turned a blood red. "Eichi," Takuto said, "Ayu has to sleep somewhere." Takuto grinned. "Give up your own bed!" Eichi sounded really pissed off. His eyes turned a darker red.

Takuto guided Eichi and me downstairs. Another boy who looked about twenty-three was standing in the kitchen. "Ayu! Hello!" He beamed. I crossed my arms and asked, "How does everybody know my name? Huh?" The boy stepped towards me, our faces scarily close. Eichi told the boy, "Wakoji, step back. Don't flirt with Ayu." Takuto started saying, "Well, Ayu, we were expecting you. We sent Eichi to the orphanage to come... get you." Eichi's face was bright red, his eyes back to blue.

The boy looked at me and said, "I'm Wakoji Hamasaki. My girlfriend, Hanajima, will be here shortly." Takuto tapped my shoulder and asked, "Ayu, would you like any breakfast? Wakoji's making Belgian waffles." I nodded my head. Suddenly, Eichi took my hand. I tried to pry his fingers off, but he was squeezing my hand. "Come with me," Eichi told me. He dragged me up the stairs and into his bedroom.

"Ayu," he started, "don't trust Takuto or Wakoji. They're Vampires. But... so am I." I shivered and sat on Eichi's bed. He sat next to me. I tried pushing him away, but his eyes flashed red, then back to blue. "Vampires aren't real. They're just myths." I protested. Eichi's eyes narrowed but stayed blue. He said, "Ayu, believe me. I'm not your average eighteen year old, I'm a one-hundred forty-two year old Vampire. So is Takuto. Wakoji is two-hundred thirty-three years old." Eichi's eyes were turning a softer red than I've seen.

"Y... you're lying." I decided. Eichi stood up. His eyes were now dark crimson. He looked like he wanted to kill me. He shouted, "I'm not lying! Believe me, Ayu! Believe me!" Wakoji and Takuto rushed in and grabbed Eichi. They pulled him away from me. Takuto looked at me sympathetically and said, "He's joking around. We're not Vampires." All three of them left and I breathed a sigh of relief. I laid down on the bed and decided to take a nap.

I woke up at 8:00 at night to brush my teeth and get my pajamas on. I brushed my teeth and put on my pajamas. The bottoms were all black. The top was a thin black tank top with a picture of a white cat. I climbed back into bed and thought about what Eichi had said about him, Takuto, and Wakoji being Vampires. I was 100 percent sure Eichi was just trying to scare me. Because Takuto had told me Eichi was kidding. And hearing that from Takuto, I was very sure that Eichi was lying.

But a part of me knew he wasn't.
