A couple of months had passed since he had been hired as private tutor to Kasai Yamada while also being assigned bodyguard to the young man's sister, Kori. With Kasai having missed a portion of schooling due to his operation and recovery it had been Satoshi's sworn duty to keep his charge up to speed and well protected. Dealing with lover boy Oriko Maphias's antics was becoming tiresome as well, in spite of the kid needing more help than his boyfriend, one would think that he would have paid more attention to the lessons instead of goofing off in front of Kasai.

Closing his briefcase and trapping the worksheets inside, the Teaching Assistant stood up and pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose with the palm of his left hand. "This concludes the lesson for today, please make sure to review pages twenty five through to thirty for our next session. You're almost completely caught up, which impressive I must admit. Have a good evening you two." He smiled to both Kasai and Oriko before turning to leave the kitchen of the Twin's apartment where they had set up for the afternoon.

He passed through the living room as he made to leave, only to notice Kori on the couch, alone with a movie playing while she sketched in her art book. Smiling he waved to her as he passed pausing by the edge of the coffee table closest to her. "Have a good evening Kori." Sato wished that he didn't have to leave so soon, but considering the twins weren't going anywhere for the night meant he didn't have to stick around, never mind the papers he had to finish grading before morning. He turned to continue for the door, but a thought struck him and begged to make itself known, cheeks tinting with the faintest hue of blush he cleared his throat to prevent it closing up on him completely before speaking again. "Um... Kori, I was wondering if maybe you might like to grab a coffee on the way to school tomorrow?" Instantly he felt as if he should have kept his mouth shut and just kept walking, but stubbornness had won out against better judgement.

The truth was, he liked Kori. He liked spending time with her, even if it was in bodyguard mode, Sato thought she was one of the sweetest girls he'd ever met. Her art was phenomenal, and her sense of style was a cute punk look that honestly, drove him crazy. It was hard to maintain a professional air when it was just the two of them, he wanted to be able to show her that he wasn't just some stiff that was following orders. Sato genuinely enjoyed spending time with Kori...

Stu could only groan as he listened to the work that was being assigned, sure it was mostly just Kasai's homework, but he had thought it might be a good idea to get in on some tutoring considering his lack of skills in math. He'd always been adamant that outside of basic arithmetic he wouldn't need any of these fancy shmancy calculations, but considering that his parents nearly forbade him from ever visiting the highrise after his behaviour in the hospital he had held his own grades ransom, informing them of Kasai's tutor whom was willing to teach him as well outside of school hours. Reluctantly they backed off, on the condition he brought his grades up by a full mark, which, at Ouran was a bit of a feat for him.

Once Satoshi-sensai had left the room, Stu turned his full attention on Kasai and grinned. "Well that was absolutely gruesome, want to take turns reading and then move on to something more, entertaining?" His eyebrows wiggled playfully as he finished speaking, insinuating something devilish as always. Since his boyfriend's release from the hospital Stu hadn't been able to keep his hands to himself for any real length of time, mostly harmless tickling and cuddling, with the odd round of kissing thrown in for good measure. It wasn't hard to tell that he was emotionally invested in Kasai to the point of being quite literally head over heels, one simply had to look at Kas the wrong way and Stu would be glaring daggers at them.

Once Satoshi had left for the night it didn’t take Oriko long to get off track again – it never did. β€œOh come on, he’s not so bad.” Out of all his previous tutors through the years, Satoshi was by far the best. He didn’t lecture them on what they should be doing or what they were doing wrong. Instead Satoshi took the time to show them how to get through the problems and work them out in time. Math was by far Oriko’s least favorite subject, while literature was Kasai’s. Luckily for them, Satoshi was a whizz at both.

Smiling at Oriko’s suggestion to collaborate on the reading and then move onto something β€˜more entertaining’, he shook his head even as a small blush colored his cheeks. Ever since they’d confessed their feelings to one another, they’d been nearly inseparable – and all over each other. It was a miracle that their homework was regularly getting done. But with Oriko’s deal with his parents, to bring up his grades in exchange for spending time at the high rise, they needed to be sure that Oriko scored well on all his assignments and his tests. Ever since Oriko’s mom had seen them at the hospital, his parents had been acting…odd. In Kas’s mind, it seemed like they were actively trying to keep them apart. He didn’t like it. Oriko had been vital to his survival before his near brush with death. Now, he needed Oriko more than ever and he wasn’t going to let his boyfriend’s parents get in his way.

β€œLet’s get through the reading and then we’ll see…Kori wants to cook something special tonight for dinner. Maybe while she’d occupied with cooking we can have some fun.” Kori was one hundred and ten percent supportive of him and Oriko being together, but that didn’t mean that he wanted his sister overhearing them. That was just weird.

Cozying up to his boyfriend, he placed a loving kiss on Oriko’s cheek, his lips lingering for a long moment before he pulled away to rest his chin on his boyfriend’s shoulder. Looking up at him, he smiled happily. β€œHave I told you lately how cute you are?” Normally guys wouldn’t like being called β€˜cute’ in any sense of the word, but he knew that Oriko wouldn’t take it the wrong way.

Kori sat in her usual spot on their sectional couch, nestled right in the corner where the two couches met, with her sketchbook settled against her bent knees and a movie on the television screen. Seeing movement out of the corner of her eye, she looked up at Sato headed out of the kitchen and waved at her in greeting. Smiling happily at her new body guard she looked up into his eyes as he stopped near the edge of the coffee table to bid her a good night. β€œYou too, Satoshi.”

Over the last few weeks since her father had deemed it necessary for her and Kasai to have their own, separate body guards, she’d been slowly getting used to Sato’s presence in the High Rise and at Ouran. Like Akio, he was young - younger than most trained body guards in their field of work. But just because they were young didn’t mean that they weren’t skilled. Kori was well aware that their father wouldn’t trust their welfare to just anyone. Although Sato was from Kyoto and originally part of the Yamada faction there, she found that he seemed to be right at home in Tokyo. She didn’t know much about her new body guard – there never seemed to be much time to get to know one another, but she found that she liked him regardless. He was well dressed and mannered, handsome and intelligent. He did his job well, both as a body guard and teaching assistant. Just as she was about to ask him if he wanted to take a seat and watch the movie with her, he moved to head for the door.

Turning her attention back to her sketchbook, she was surprised when he spoke again. Looking up at him, she noted the slightest blush on his cheeks. Smiling automatically, she couldn’t help but nod happily at the idea. β€œCoffee sounds lovely, Satoshi. I’d like that.” She could tell that he was a bit shy about asking her for something as simple as coffee, but she found it endearing. It wasn’t hard to see that he was still getting used to things at the high rise and navigating her and her brother. She didn’t blame him either, they were a handful sometimes. Just as Sato turned as if to leave, Kori saw her opportunity to invite him to join her. β€œI actually wouldn’t mind some company now, if you want to hang out and grade papers with a movie going in the background.”

Sato seemed surprised by the offer and a bit shy to accept it, but she as glad that he did. In no time, he was seated on the couch with his briefcase off to the side, the lid wide open to reveal the piles of paperwork within. She would have offered to help, but somehow, she didn’t think that was appropriate, especially since some of her work might have been mixed in there as well. Regardless, she had to wonder if he would get all the grading done tonight.
β€œWow, I didn’t realize how many assignments you’d have to grade…If you’d feel more comfortable working in your apartment, I understand.” She said with a bit of a sheepish smile, ducking behind her sketchbook a bit in embarrassment. β€œOr I could help?” When he gave her a surprised look, she shrugged. β€œI mean, only if you want. If there’s an answer key or something, I could mark off the wrong and right answers but leave the scoring and comments to you…”

His cheeks puffed up before deflating into a defeated pout as Kasai defended the scholar, reluctantly he nodded, bobbing his head with a sigh before cracking into a grin. "Yes, you are right there, he could be much worse. I'll have to thank him sometime for not making my head explode like the teacher does on occasion." Although he could not resist sticking his tongue out briefly before grinning broadly at the tint his comment had brought to Kas' cheeks. Oh how he loved making the guy blush, it was the most precious thing ever.

That Kori was wanting to cook something special only served to make Oriko turn into an even brighter light bulb, beaming happily all the more at snagging the prep time for some alone time with his boyfriend. As Kasai got closer and kissed his cheek, it was Oriko's turn to have his cheeks burn. He fought the compulsion to look down at meet those adorable smokey eyes of his, but alas, lost easily and gazed upon a very happy Kasai. Oriko had to choke down a laugh, he didn't really just use that line on him, chuckling softly he shook his head before leaning in and placing an affectionate kiss to the guy's forehead. "Have I told you lately how you're too much?" He asked while reaching for the aforementioned book, one arm wrapping around Kasai while the other thumbed through to find the appropriate page. Clearing his throat Oriko got straight to work reading the first few paragraphs, needless to say, between an awesome tutor and a boyfriend like Kasai offering incentive, it was getting hard not to take his studies more seriously.

He had not expected the invitation to sit and do his work while Kori sketched and the movie played, but in truth he was most grateful she had asked. Sure the quiet helped him concentrate better on what he was doing, but being alone was steadily growing tiresome. Sato was beginning to find that he missed the idle whispers and movements of others around him from when he worked in the library, it was peaceful, but he was never truly alone. He had set to work organizing the subjects he had to work on into small piles on the coffee table when Kori spoke again, surprised at just how much work he did when he wasn't at the school. Smiling kindly to her he gave a small shrug. "It doesn't take much effort to be honest, most tests these days are multiple choice, the ones that really take up my time are the literature work sheets." He did not mind explaining the inner workings of the grading system to Kori, she was a smart girl and didn't need much to figure things out.

Her offer to help though caught him off guard, not many people even thought of what he did as tedious enough to lend a hand. "As a matter of fact, there are a few keys. Are you sure you're okay with this? I mean, it's not the most exciting thing in the world to be doing with your free time." Fishing about in his briefcase Sato pulled out a small handful of transparencies which he used for the multiple choice sheets. Setting the three that were needed atop their respective piles he smiled gratefully to Kori. "It's nice and straight forward, use a red pen and simply make an 'x' if incorrect and circle the right answer, then place a check if the answer is right. I know your math is spot on, so if you wish to tally them by all means, I always double check before handing them back anyways. Even I make mistakes here and there." With Kori's much appreciated help, he pulled out the small stack of papers he usually reserved for last and went straight to work, knowing it wouldn't take her long to get through the other tests.

Kori was more than happy to help Satoshi with his grading. Yes, it was a bit boring, but with the movie playing in the background, Galaxy Quest (heck yeah!), it wasn’t so bad. Since he’d come to the High Rise, Sato had mostly kept to himself when not β€˜on duty’; Kori knew this was partially because he was new to the city and partially because he wanted to respect her privacy. She was grateful for his consideration, but she also wanted to get to know him. If he was going to be her bodyguard for the foreseeable future, or possibly for the rest of her life, then she wanted to get to know him and if he was willing, be his friend.

With the help of Satoshi’s answer keys, in no time, Kori was flying through the stack that he’d given her. He was right, a lot of their tests were multiple choice, which left little work in grading. She didn’t envy him when it came to the literature worksheets – everything was hand written and would require extra care when it came to grading. With thirty-plus students answering the same questions over and over, it had to be a bit mind numbing. Which made her wonder what Satoshi liked to do for fun when he wasn’t working. Did he like to watch movies? Read books? Or was he more inclined to activities outdoors, like basketball or tennis?

Lost in thought and the repetitive motion of grading, Kori almost missed her phone vibrating on the coffee table. Placing the worksheets aside, she grabbed her phone. Smiling, she answered the call from Hayate without a second thought.
β€œHey, Haya! Are you on your way?” They had made plans for Hayate to come over for dinner tonight. He would have come straight from school, but he’d had another β€˜family activity’ to attend. While she didn’t want to think too much about it, ever since Julie had returned to Ouran Academy, Hayate seemed to have more β€˜family activities’ and get togethers that he needed to attend. The last time she’d been at Hayate’s house, Mrs. Nagata had stressed that she was always welcome, which in turn meant that she was welcome for said family get-togethers, but she had yet to receive an invitation from Hayate.

The smile on Kori’s face immediately fell as she listened to Hayate explain that the β€˜family get-together’ was going to include dinner and that he wouldn’t be able to come – again. This was the third time he’d had to cancel on her last minute and it was getting tiresome. However, not wanting to make a big deal out of it in front of Satoshi, Kori just shrugged. β€œI understand…No, it’s not a big deal. Yeah, say β€˜hi’ to your mom for me. Bye.” Hanging up the call, Kori stared down at her phone for a long moment. She didn’t have any proof that he was lying to her, but her gut told her that he wasn’t at home like he said.

Realizing that Satoshi heard her half of the conversation, she glanced up a bit sheepishly. β€œSorry about that. My dinner date just cancelled on me.” She said with a small frown before tossing her phone back on the coffee table. It skidded a few feet away and out of her reach, but she didn’t care – it wasn’t like Hayate was going to be calling or texting her anytime soon. Taking the worksheets in hand, she got back to work, glad for the distraction. If she’d been alone, then she’d have to face the fact that her once amazing relationship was likely headed for a break-up.

She’d been planning on making a special dinner tonight, for everyone, not just her and Hayate, but now she didn’t know if she felt like cooking. Eyes locked on the sheet she was grading, she spoke to Satoshi, β€œDo you have any dinner plans tonight, Satoshi?” She supposed that if he wanted to stay for dinner, she could muster up the enthusiasm to cook for him, Kasai, Oriko and herself. If not, then she’d just order something in instead. β€œI had planned on making spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread and a leafy salad…in case you’re interested in staying for dinner.” It was an open invitation really, not a direct β€˜Wanna have dinner with me?’ invitation, but it was an invitation none-the-less. Glancing up at him, she offered him a small smile whilst waiting for his answer. β€œIf you already have plans, then maybe some other time?”

With his boyfriend’s arm wrapped around him lovingly, Kasai couldn’t be happier. True to his word, Oriko had come over to the High Rise every day since he’d been released from the hospital. Kasai had been out of school for about two full weeks before being allowed to attend classes again and during that time, Oriko and Kori had kept him sane. There were only so many movies you could watch by yourself before it got boring. Having Oriko and Kori with him after they got out of school and all day on the weekends had helped him beat his β€˜cabin fever’.

Even though it had been nearly a month since his appendix had burst, Oriko hadn’t stopping spending time with him every day. Although Oriko didn’t talk about it, Kasai knew that his parents were being hard on him at home. One of the reasons why they were both so adamant about his studies was because of the deal he’d made with his parents; good grades = Kasai time. But Kasai had noticed how Oriko made it a point to arrive at the High Rise as early as he could and leave as late as was humanly possible without violating his curfew - everytime. Kasai was one step away from kidnapping his boyfriend and having him move into the spare room next to his. But, Oriko, who was still under the age of 18, he was still a minor and thus had to live by his family’s rules, as much as Kasai hated it. If Kasai and Kori asked their father to let Oriko move in with them, there would be no hesitation, Oriko would have a new home, no questions asked. β€˜One more year, and we can make that a reality…’

Leaning into Oriko, he listened as he read the page out loud for them both. Kasai didn’t really need to review the material, but an order was an order and if it helped Oriko with his grades then he was on board. Once it was his turn, he read through the page out loud until it was Oriko’s turn again. This went on until all the pages were done and they both had a thorough understanding of the material. One nice thing about studying together was that when it came time for the review with Satoshi, they could work together to get through it. It was the buddy-system at its best.

β€œAlright, that’s more than enough homework for one night…So what now? Movie? Video Games? Or…?” He hadn’t forgotten Oriko’s previous suggestion to have some quality time together, which would mean they’d need to adjourn to his room for some privacy.

Thanks to Kori's help, Satoshi was able to focus and get his papers graded a lot faster than usual, hell, he might even end up with some free time for once. He usually liked to sequester himself away in his apartment and work until even the midnight oil had burned itself out, but tonight had a strange new feeling to it, he didn't want to be hard at it all night. He was nearly finished when he noticed Kori's phone buzzing away on the coffee table, and a glance to her made him smile as she was lost in concentration once more. Satoshi adored the cute way her eyes knit together as she read the sheets in front of her, though it was broken easily when she caught on to her phone going off and answered it.

He sighed inwardly as she addressed Hayate, while at first it seemed the couple were getting on wonderfully, he'd slowly begun to drop off the map on Kori, which was not a good sign in Sato's opinion. Then he saw how her smile evaporated, his heart clenched inside of his chest and threatened to make him frown hard in disapproval, it made him wish he could get his hands on Hayate's phone password in order to see what was really going on, but he didn't want to overstep his boundaries. Catching Kori's glance and the sweet sheepish smile he shook his head, wanting to reach out and comfort her, but his need to maintain a level of professionalism kept him from doing much other than saying, "He doesn't know what he's missing." and offering a compassionate smile before watching the phone skid across the table carelessly. Three strikes, you're out... He couldn't help but think to himself, knowing this wasn't the first time that Hayate had done this to Kori.

Turning his attention back to the papers at hand Satoshi tried to get them all finished as soon as possible, not wanting to impose on Kori too much longer. This notion however was sent out the window when she asked if he had any dinner plans, and proceeded to invite him to join her and her brother for spaghetti and meatballs. "Thank you, I would appreciate that very much. The only plans I've got are some leftovers and maybe going for a drive later." He replied with a small shrug and an appreciative smile.

Looking between them and the papers that were being graded, they were pretty much done. "Thank you so much for the help with my work, this usually takes me all night to get through." Putting away the stuff that had been taken care of into his briefcase he waited for Kori to finish before tucking it all away and stood up. "I'll go put this stuff away and will be right back, okay? Wouldn't want work getting in the way of a good meal." With a grateful smile he bowed to Kori before heading down to his apartment, not only to put his briefcase away, but also to grab a box of mochi he had hidden in his cupboard for dessert, having been brought up to always bring a gift when invited to dinner.

It didn't take much effort at all to avoid thinking about his home life while he was at the Highrise with Kasai and Kori, some days it felt more like he was at home when he was with them and he just went to visit the monsters he was legally bound to call his parents. If there was one thing he detested more than math, it was the couple who claimed to have raised him. The idea of filing for emancipation had been prodding the back of his mind, he knew kids in America could do it to get away from abusive parents, but being in Japan made things a might bit difficult in terms of applying for such a thing short of straight up running away from home.

But those thoughts aside, he was happy to be getting ahead in his school work thanks to Kasai and Satoshi helping him out. As much of a show he made of not enjoying it, he was putting in honest effort to bring up his grades, not for his parents sake, but his own and for Kasai. Getting through the reading wasn't so bad, as he played it out like a script he was auditioning with, bringing a little life to the bland text before them. Once that was over and done with he grinned at Kasai when he asked the silly question of 'what now?' As if he had to ask...

"Oh you totally know what's coming next." He was damn near giggling as he firmed his grip on Kasai with the one arm, pulling him back enough to hook his other beneath his boyfriend's legs in a bridal carry. One small heft brought Kasai tight against Oriko's chest as he made towards the kitchen's exit just as the main door closed behind Satoshi.

Finishing up her stack of papers, she made sure they were piled neatly before handing them back to Satoshi. β€œOh, no problem. It was kinda fun actually. If you want help tomorrow or any other time, just let me know.” As Satoshi took the papers from her and placed them carefully in his briefcase, she glanced at her phone. She was halfway tempted to text Hayate but she stamped down the urge. If he didn’t want to spend time with her, then so be it – she’d have fun getting to know Satoshi instead.

Looking up at Sato as he arose from his seat, she nodded with a smile. β€œTake your time. I make the meatballs from scratch so it’s going to be a while before the foods ready anyway.” Sato knew his way through the apartment and headed for the door without Kori walking him out. He had full access to the twin’s floor, so he was free to come and go as he pleased.

Grabbing her phone, stuck it in her back pocket without checking for new messages. Heading for the kitchen, she stopped in her tracks when she saw Oriko carrying Kasai like he was his blushing bride. Smiling, she shook her head in amusement. β€œI’m going to start cooking, guys. Also, I invited Sato for dinner.” Kori knew that Kasai wouldn’t mind the company, Sato was friendly enough and this was a good way for them to get to know him better outside of his tutoring and bodyguard duties.

β€œReally? Wont Hayate get jealous?” Kasai said with a little smirk, teasing her. Sighing, Kori simple shrugged a shoulder in response. β€œHe’s not coming. So if he gets jealous, too bad.” Even without looking at her brother’s face she knew that Kasai was immediately irritated by the news that Hayate had cancelled on her, again. He was well aware of Hayate’s numerous β€˜family get-togethers’ as of late and he liked it as much as she did. β€œHe is really starting to piss me off.” Kasai growled.

β€œDon’t let it get to you, Kas. I can handle it.”

β€œYeah, well, if he steps out of line, or makes you cry, just don’t expect him to be happy with my response.” Smirking at her brother, she shook her head lightly – if Kasai wanted to avenge her, who was she to stop him? β€œThanks, Kas. I appreciate it. Now go spend some time with your awesome boyfriend.” Looking at Oriko she gave him a small wink and blew a kiss at him. β€œYou’re setting the bar pretty damn high Oriko,” Needless to say, Oriko was the way a boyfriend should be and Hayate was not meeting expectations. Stepping into the kitchen, she didn’t watch Oriko carry Kasai down the hall, but she knew it was an adorable sight, nonetheless.

Alone in the kitchen, Kori turned on the Bose surround sound stereo and threw on some of her tunes. Immersed in the music and the task at hand, she soon forgot Hayate and everything else. Focused, she sang along with the music and swayed her hips to Wilson Philips’ β€˜Hold on’. Dressed in a purple apron, her hair pulled back in a messy ponytail, she looked nothing like her usual β€˜cute punk’ self, but she didn’t care – she was comfortable and having fun in her own home.

By the time Satoshi returned, Kori was forming the meatballs into little mounds and placing them on a baking sheet, singing happily with the music. Unaware of her company, she continued like she was alone, her hips swaying with the music.

β€œSome day somebody's gonna make you want to
    Turn around and say goodbye~!
Until then baby are you going to let them
Hold you down and make you cry~!
    Don't you know?
Don't you know things can change
    Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
Can you hold on for one more day
    Things'll go your way
Hold on for one more day~!”

It was only at the end of the lyric that she glanced up to see Satoshi standing not ten feet from her, leaning in the doorway, smiling at her. A blush immediately lit her cheeks while Wilson Philips belted out the rest of the song. β€œWow…this is embarrassing.” She said with a chuckle and an embarrassed smile as she looked back down to the raw meat in her hands. β€œDo me a favor, and pretend that never happened, okay?” Laughing at herself, she really did hope that Satoshi either forgot about her dancing/singing or never mentioned it to anyone.

Once he'd gotten downstairs Satoshi dropped his briefcase by the door to his apartment and dashed into the bathroom, immediately setting about washing his face and brushing his teeth. Being so close to Kori in a semi-casual setting had made him grossly self aware of how fuzzy his teeth had gotten through the day from all the coffee he'd drunk along with the sweets he practically lived off of. He even went so far as to run a brush through his hair real quick before darting into his bedroom to change into something that would be more forgiving should he happen to spill spaghetti sauce onto.

After making himself more presentable in a simple yellow t-shirt and some black denim jeans he grabbed a slate black over-shirt with grey flames along the bottom hem as well as the pink green tea mochi he'd made a mental note of on his way down. Adjusting his glasses in the elevator he tried to calm himself, this was a group meal, nothing super special, no need to get stressed out or be nervous.

By the time he reached the kitchen Kori was already working on the meatballs, singing along to her music and dancing happily. He couldn't help but lean in the doorway for a moment and just watch her with a fond smile. It was good that even with everything going on in her life she could still be herself in the privacy of her own home. β€œWow…this is embarrassing.” He could only chuckle at this, approaching the island and setting the blue box of sweets off to the side. β€œDo me a favor, and pretend that never happened, okay?” He smiled and nodded, heading over to the pantry snagging an apron for himself, like hell he was gonna let her do all the work. "What happened? Did I miss something?" He decided to go with pretending it never happened, but the memory would be forever burned in his mind.

Setting to work finishing up the meatballs with Kori, he'd use his elbows to turn the water on for them both once they were all rolled up and on the baking sheet. "What's next boss?" He asked once their hands were clean, ready to tackle the next task with gusto. The last time he'd been in a kitchen like this was when he was but a kid, helping his grandmother making sweet dumplings for the New Year festival.

Once Kasai’s bedroom door clicked closed behind them, Kasai didn’t even wait for Oriko to put him down, he immediately reached up to cup his boyfriend’s cheek to draw his head down for a fiery kiss. Moaning lightly at the sensation of Oriko’s kiss, he smiled to himself as their lips parted. He always saw stars when Oriko kissed him. A bit light headed, he grinned like a damn fool as Oriko walked them over to the bed.

In moments, he was lying on his back on the bed with Oriko next to him. Rolling into his boyfriend’s arms, he kissed him over and over, each one igniting a hunger for more. While he didn’t like what was happening between Kori and Hayate – she deserved someone who wanted to cherish her and spoil her – he couldn’t ignore his own boyfriend’s attentions. Rolling to lay on top of Oriko, he leaned back a bit to look down into Oriko’s lovely brown eyes. β€œIts still hard to believe that I was your first kiss. You’re a master at it now.” Leaning forward he placed a light peck on Oriko’s nose playfully.

Just as requested, Satoshi acted like he hadn’t seen anything at all. Smiling to herself, she was grateful that he was playing along, although she knew that he would likely never forget her dancing and singing in the middle of her kitchen when she thought that no one was watching.

In no time, the two were rolling meatballs together like old friends. After washing her hands and popping the meaty delights into the oven, Kori turned toward her eager helper. Kasai would normally help her in the kitchen, but she understood his desire to spend time with Oriko. Ideally, she and Hayate would have been cooking together…but despite his absence, she was glad for Satoshi’s company. Smiling happily, she headed for the fridge.

β€œWhile those brown in the oven, we’ll make the sauce and the salad. The bread will be last, since it won’t take too long to bake.” Under Kori’s direction, the sauce was soon under way. While she cut the onions and garlic to add in, Satoshi had been given his own cutting board and knife to shop the vegetables for the salad.

β€œThank you for helping me cook, this is a lot of fun.” Looking up from her cutting, she smiled at Satoshi. β€œKasai usually helps me, but he’s…preoccupied lately, not that I blame him.” She really didn’t, she was overjoyed that Kasai and Oriko were together, they were such a great couple. If only her own love life were going as well... Not wanting to think about her flaky boyfriend, she turned her attention back to cutting. β€œTo be honest, I was hoping to cook with Hayate tonight, but he just doesn't seem to have the time anymore. But, I’m glad that you’re here with me, Sato.” She said with a small smile as she looked up at Satoshi. As she did, the knife slipped and sliced the tip of her index finger, immediately drawing blood.

Hissing in pain, Kori dropped the knife and cupped her hand to her chest. β€œDammit!” Moving for the sink, she turned on the water to rinse the cut that was already dripping blood. She hissed again as the water touched the open cut. β€œOw, ow, ow…” Groaning lightly she prayed she didn’t need stitches, she did not need a hospital visit…

"Why thank you Kor, I do my best. Can't have an unhappy Kasai now, heads would roll." Oriko joked over his shoulder on his way out the kitchen, then nuzzled into Kasai's shoulder as they made for his bedroom.

He had been about to say something cute and witty to Kas when the door closed behind them, only for the words to get eaten up by a hot kiss that stole his breath and made him pause. When he parted Oriko took a second to gather his bearings before walking over to the bed and setting Kasai down, he was strong sure but Kasai's kisses always made him to weak in the knees. Wasting no time at all he crawled onto the bed next to his boyfriend and got right down to sexy business.

Each kiss made his cheeks darken shade by shade with blush, his arms snaking around Kas and hugging him close as comfort would allow as he returned each and every ounce of affection wholeheartedly. Without warning he was turned onto his back, giving his arms free reign to wrap more completely around Kasai as he stared up at him with a bright grin, which became sheepish as his first kiss was mentioned. "What can I say? I've had a great teacher." This he said as Kas leaned back in and gave his nose a peck, not missing out on his chance Oriko leaned in and tipped his head enough to snare those sweet lips once more, his hands pulling firmly on Kasai and gently pressing fingers along his back, reminding him of the amazing tattoo that was drawn upon his skin. His own tattoo still waited for it's time to get inked, as he wanted to wait for Kasai to be able to join him in the tattoo shop when it happened.

Even with them sequestered away in Kasai's room, the smell of the meatballs slowly wafted in through the cracks in the door. Physical hunger only served to amplify his cravings for his boyfriend, but Oriko behaved himself as best he could, drawing the line at teasing the edges of Kas' shirt and pants.

Eager as a child, Satoshi worked diligently on helping with the sauce and washing the vegetables for the salad thoroughly before setting to work cutting. He listened as Kori spoke of how her brother was now preoccupied with his boyfriend, a small smirk crossed Sato's lips as he remembered how close those two boys were and how long it took him to figure out that they were an actual couple. While he wasn't into that sort of thing he had to admit they were cute together. Sato wouldn't say it aloud, but he totally pegged Oriko as the woman of the relationship.

Looking over to Kori as she brought up Hayate he tried not to make a face at her, especially when she went on to admit she was happy he was with her. His entire disposition brightened up by ten notches before it all came slamming down at the sound of her hissing in pain and clutching her hand, instantly he was moving over to her side while grabbing a short glass and sprinkled some of the pink salt he saw sitting on the island for seasoning into it before filling it the rest of the way with warm water. "Here, put your finger in here, it'll clean the cut and I'll be able to see how deep it is." Sure it might sting a little, but saline water was a better option than being stupid and pouring hydrogen peroxide all over the cut, it would also encourage the blood to clot and seal the wound faster.

Instinctively moving to wrap an arm around her shoulders he peered down at her hand, it didn't seem bad enough for stitches, and thankfully the blade was properly sharpened so the wound wouldn't scar. "You're going to be okay, here, sit down and I'll go get the first aid kit, we'll have you bandaged up and all better in no time." Walking her over to the stool for the kitchen's counter he waited for Kori to be situated and comfortable before having a look beneath the kitchen sink for the kit, stitches or not he wanted to take care of the cut properly. Once the small box was in hand he set about doctoring Kori's finger before smiling to her fondly. "Tell you what, why don't you take it easy and I'll wrap this up with your guidance, sound good?"
