The seventeenth rolled around. It meant that there was a buzz in the air, an almost palpable energy that was hard to ignore (and likely just Jeremiah's imagination). When the shimmering curtain of static appeared during tea time, familiar as ever, Jeremiah let out a breath.
"That," he said, "would be our cue. At least we actually got to have tea." Something to eat as well. An arm was offered to Algie, a smile given to Cass (because she had come over for tea and was, more than ever, involved with what was going on) before he gestured to walk through.
Coming through on the other side, he raised an eyebrow at the lack of clothing change. A glance was given to Algie, looking back over his shoulder to watch for Cass to come through. For the moment, he was making sure she came through alright before he would look around. His hand, unconsciously, squeezed his husband's.

Alexis was still walking with a limp, leaning on Nasir a little heavily, lips tight -- they'd had a feeling the Court wouldn't dress them, not without magic, so they'd at least tried to look presentable. That it wasn't dressing anyone made them feel a little better about it. A long, dark skirt of some silky material, flats (that might have come as a surprise to anyone, because as far as anyone knew Alexis' shoe-wardrobe was two pairs of running shoes); long, dark sleeves, a low collar. It was, all in all, a little bit Catholic schoolgirl.
"...D'you see Preacher Maria? I need to apologize to her for somethin'..."
They stayed away from the railing.

"No, not yet," Nasir replied, looking around and noticing there were others already on the other side. "I'll keep an eye out." His hand squeezed theirs, keeping a tight hold on them.
Jeremiah let out a breath, a quiet one of amusement, as Cass made a beeline for the railing. Squeezing Algie's arm, he walked with him towards the railing as well and looked down below.
"Looks like they're putting down the finishing touches," he said. The work that Silk and Odal had put into everything, into organizing this and assisting the visitors and differentiated, was more than worth thanking them for. This was far beyond what magic he had worked himself and what he had seen within the memories of the void.

Erin had never been so annoyed to have a floating white sheet follow her around before. It was always there, always present, always demanding attention and Erin had more things to do than be bothered by a white sheet.
Like rebuild a Charter. Or something.
It was only until a quarter after noon did she turn, quite by accident while getting up to go make lunch on her day off, and pass through the curtain and found herself distinctly not in Ashdown anymore. Oh. It was there to take her to this event. For remaking the Charter. Right.
She supposed she should have known something like this would happen today. Then she wouldn't be standing in a place in the Court she'd never been too before, in a pair of loose sleep shorts, a sports bra, and a Zelda hoodie. Well that was awkward.
She'd appeared sort of far away from the others, who congregated together, and she zipped up her hoodie in an attempt to look passably presentable. She looked down at the sigil and robed figures. She should go to the group and say hi, and talk about this Chartering business but...
Fingers curled around the railing and she stayed put, braided hair falling over her shoulder.
