Ed lifted his head and watched the man when stood and walked from the room. The chimera's eyes remained fixed on the door cautious and suspicious until Roy returned with a bowl of water for him. Ed moved closer to the night stand lapping the water from the bowl. Ed drained the bowl and realized that Roy had gone once more. Carefully and with only a small whine of pain he got down from the bed and moved to where Roy was located sniffing at things around the house as he came upon them.

He heard the clipping of nails on the floor, but he chose not to say anything. He wanted Edward to get used to his surroundings so he could be more comfortable. So he simply kept on cooking and sat down another bowl of water and kept an eye on his new room mate so that he didn't step on him.
Once dinner was done he fixed himself a plate and fixed Ed one as well. Knelling down he held out the plate making sure the food was cool enough to eat. "How about something to eat?" he sat the plate down and moved away from it with his own.
He sat at his small two person table and watched Edward.

The chimera made his way into the kitchen and found Roy. The chimera was unworried about the man as he did not approach him quickly and allowed him to look around. When the bowl of water was set down he went over and quickly lapped at it.

The chimera stopped when food was offered to him. Watching Roy until set the plate down and moved away. Once the creature decided Roy was far enough away it dove in gobbling up the food quickly and sometimes without chewing on anything.

Roy watched him eat and shook his head a little. He was starved, or at least he looked it anyway. He picked at his own food while Edward licked the plate clean.

He was still unsure what he was going to do with Edward... he knew his small back yard had a tall enough fence that no one could see the chimera while he did his business outside... but... would Edward be okay inside the house? It wasn't like he could just shut him up in the bathroom... it was too small. He sighed and rubbed at his temple.

Edward licked the plate clean quickly and continued to lick it even after. He licked it so much he began to move it across the floor. Occasionally the chimera would look cautiously up to Roy when he saw movement before going back to the plate.

He didn't want to make Edward sick by feeding him too much at once so he took his own half eaten plat and put it away.
"Come on Edward..." he said getting a beer and going to his back door. It was late enough now no one would be peeking over his fence. "Let's go outside." he said simply and walked out leaving the door open for the chimera to follow.
He sat back in a law chair and opened his beer taking a long drink.
Roy could see the back door and all over the yard, so he waited to see if Edward would come out.

The chimera looked up as Roy called to him. Giving a soft whine he trotted along following. "out...side..." it grumbled. It moved outside looking to Roy before going into the yard. There were a few small animals around the yard and Edward went immediately to chasing them.

"Don't hurt them." Roy said watching Edward run around. "Be easy." he said sitting back more in his chair.
What was to do with Edward? He was unsure if he could ever separate Edward from the animal... he was afraid he would kill Ed.. he could not live with himself if he did that.
He was simply at a loss for now.

Ed looked to the man when he was called to be easy to the animals. Looking back to the animals as they moved. He chased them for about half an hour before moving to lay by Roy's feet. "Ed..." the creature grumbled.

"Yes.. that's you." he said sitting his empty bottle down and reaching down to stroke over Ed. "What am I going to do with you Edward?" he asked the chimera.

Ed looked up to the man again as the man reached down and pet him. "Fix...Ed...fix." the creature said softly. He huffed and shifted slightly trying to find a bit of comfort for his joints.

"Yes I will try to fix you." Roy said giving Ed another soft pat. "I'll get you back Edward." he promised and slid from the chair to the ground beside the chimera. "You do need a bath tho." he said patting Edward again.

Edward's tail wagged when Roy said he would fix him. Ears perked as the man sat next to him. The chimera gave a soft growl at the thought of a bath. The prospect of bathing sounded good to Edward but the creature didn't like it.
