"As a girl I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books.Someone who fought for what was right and protect people who couldn't protect themselves."
Lexi Darksilver Halo Damn, she had been hoping for more of a reaction than that. Nothing like mid combat banter to drag out a fight, but it seemed these two had more discipline than that. Concussion's beam came through the wall mere centimetres from her face and she wasn't foolish enough to stick around. Lexi quickly dropped to one knee while the beam cut through the wall above, then she dived forward into Legions flames. For a moment she was blinded by the torrent of flames. Lexi returned fire with another energy ball, hoping the flames would cover up the attack long enough to hit Legion. She landed into a forward roll and came out the other side of the fire. All in all she was only in the flames for a couple of seconds, Legion interrupted by her counter attack, but already she could feel the heat seeping through her aura. She kept running, Concussion's beam blasting the wall where she had been fractions of a second ago.
With a flick of her left hand, Legion found himself trapped in one of Lexi's bubbles. Either Concussion would turn to free his comrade, giving her an opening to strike, or, more likely, he would focus on her and she wouldn't need to worry about dealing with Legion's fire for as long as she managed to maintain the bubble. She ducked under one chest high beam sweeping towards her, but she was running out of room to manoeuvre. Why did it need to be an open floor plan? Coming up the kitchen area. Lexi planted her left hand on the table used it to lift her lower body up and slid across the table without slowing down, while Concussion blasted away the legs of the table. Two more strides and she vaulted over the island counter. She put her back to the counter after making sure to move over a few feet from where she had hopped over so Concussion wouldn't know where behind the counter she was. Maintaining two shields while dodging Concussion certainly wasn't easy, but at least all those years of free running were finally paying off.
Lexi didn't have long to wait before the increasingly familiar beam swept sideways, much lower than she had anticipated. It was all she could do to dive forward onto her stomach while wood splintered and debris and water rained down on her.

Concussion
With the table splintered Concussion opted for a different beam. What had been simply a line like beam widened and expanded until the beam came from Concussion's hand in a cone like shape towards Lexi. It would obliterate the majority of the ground in front of her and expand to fill out that side of the room but Concussion started with the ground in front of him. He would slowly raise the blast toward her. Not slow enough to make it easy to dodge, not when it was as widespread a blast as this. He wanted her to know the inevitable end was coming for her and he wanted to see her fear. His arm raised out in front of him and power arching out from his hand. Legion noticed before Concussion, but Lexi had him trapped. Legion tried to burn the walls of his prison away but he could not. He screamed but Concussion was too focused on killing the Providence agent. He wasn't looking at his arm, he was looking at Lexi. He didn't feel the cold hand grip him until it was too late. A sudden sharp pain began to spread, it started down at his elbow where the hand touched him and then spread both to his fingers and to his shoulder. His flesh blackened with the pain as the pain spread and when it reached his shoulder it stopped. His eyes had been blinded by the pain and his blast had stopped. When he could see again, Mathis had been the one who grabbed his arm, which was now black with frostbite, the flesh dead. Mathis stood with a panicked look over his face, he had been afraid of something and acted too quickly. Concussion paused for only a moment in shock before the rage returned and he let his power continue coursing through his blackened arm. The beam burst forth from his palm again and Mathis, in his panic did the only thing he could think to do. His grip tightened the the black flesh beneath his hand began turning white and it froze through into ice. The ice began to tremble but Concussion's blast continued and the man's screams of pain began. They were not screams of surrender, just pain. The ice spread half way up to his bicep and half way down his forearm before the force to the arm caused by the beam was too much. A crack broke above the tremendous sound in the room and silence replaced it. The beam had stopped and Mathis held the bottom half of Concussion's arm in his hand. The flesh of Concussion's right arm was untouched at the hand, but the wrist was black with frostbite and the elbow connected to it was frozen to ice. Mathis dropped it, realizing now was his moment to strike. He had to end Concussion. Lexi had bought him this chance. He dropped the half of Concussion's arm as the man himself stumbled away, terrified by his half, and conjured and spike of ice. He thrust forward at Concussion's heart but before the spike could pierce the man a thin but strong wall of rock shot up between the two. Mathis' spike shattered on the rock and his body slammed against it do to the force he attempted to stab Concussion with. Meanwhile Concussion fell backwards onto the floor, robbed of one arm but not his will to survive. Concussion rolled upon his landing and began to run. Legion now sat, free of the bubble due to his tapping of his other powers and a little more aggressive fore than fire. He wore a conflicted look and his head twitched a little as thoughts bounded in his brain but ultimately the look of malice and cruelty returned. Salazar maintained control and he, like Concussion, began to run from the building. He conjured a mass wall of flame between the attackers and the runners to cover their escape.

"As a girl I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books.Someone who fought for what was right and protect people who couldn't protect themselves."
Lexi Darksilver Halo Lexi slowly got up, bits of wood falling to the side as she did so. It wasn't fear that she looked at Concussion with, but grim determination. She would find a way to escape his beam, and even if she couldn't, she wouldn't give him the stratification of seeing her afraid. However, before she could act she saw Mathis. At first she was careful not to look at him directly as to tip Concussion off about the impending death coming up behind him, but it soon became clear that it wouldn't have matter even if she had. Legion tried desperately to warn him, only for Concussion to ignore him. Trapped, she watched in shock as everything unfolded in front of her. She had never seen Mathis panic before. Lexi had expected Concussion to turn on Mathis, but instead he fired his beam at her once more with the singular focus of taking her out. She quickly thrust out a hand in front of her, her shield absorbing the blast. She wouldn't last long though. She dropped the shield holding Legion back to focus on the one protecting her from Consussion. Luckily she didn't have to last long. A large crack, the beam stopped and Lexi looked up to see Mathis holding the bottom half of Concussion's arm. Mathis tried to go for the kill, but it was too late. Their chance was over and she couldn't afford to take another hit from Concussion.
With the pair gone Lexi made her way through the destruction and over to Mathis. “Mathis, are you okay?” She expected him to state he was fine, and move on to whatever plan B he had, but she asked anyway. Though she didn't bring it up directly, she was concerned for him. For his earlier panic and what effect breaking off someone's arm like that might have on him. He could likely put the fire out, but pressing the two out on the streets of Dominion territory would end badly.
