Otea felt number. While an embrace would normally have warmth and comfort to it, she could not find anything in Hari's action. Her words were mumbled in her mind, as her blue eyes closed, trying to prevent anymore tears from sliding down her cheeks.

Then she heard the voice of another. There was slight familiarity to it, if only because he was the current leader of the pride. "T...Tau?" She found herself murmuring, glancing through bleary eyes to see the golden male. The lioness shook her head, to answer both his questions at once. No, she was not okay. But he couldn't help her either.

She found herself slowly rising back to her feet, trying to focus on anything other than the death around her. She glanced back towards Hari, before looking at Tau.

"Where will be safe?" She asked shakily.

"Amaryllis!" his voice snapped. She was hurt, and though she was bleeding quite a bit, he knew her wounds would not be fatal. To see her hurt at all broke his heart - he had done everything he could to keep her safe, to protect from a world that he knew to be so cruel. Danger had lurked around every corner, and now when he had finally allowed his shields to fall it had snuck upon them viciously. He had failed her as a father, and Na'resh would never be able to forgive himself for it. The only thing he could do now was get her away from danger, even if it meant putting his faith in a complete stranger.

"We're going." He ordered, his voice firm and unyielding. There was no time for them to cower in fear and horror. Na'resh lowered his head, nudging his daughter's shoulder to get her to move. Together, they fled towards the river with their guide lagging behind them.

With a single glance back to Isithunzi, Na'resh realized that the older lion wasn't going to make it. Rock had struck him too hard, and now he fell behind them. Isithunzi had shown them a kindness and empathy that Na'resh had learned to not expect from the world. How chaotic.

Na'resh did not allow himself time to reflect upon the other lion's inevitable death. The only thing he could do was keep his daughter from witnessing it. "Go, Amaryllis! I see the river!" There, just ahead of them, he could see a bank caving in towards dark waters. "Don't think, just run!" The river was not too fast to be impassible, but as his feet collided with water the chill shocked him to the bones. Na'resh's eyes focused ahead of him, on his daughter's dark form as she struggled through the water.

They were so close to escape from this hell, and hopefully it would not follow them.

---

Amongst the chaos, Kore felt alone. Screams echoed in her ears, and she saw forms running past her away from the danger the winged monster presented. Looking around her, all she could see was red. Blood. Fear gripped her heart, and it was a miracle the young lioness was not struck by flying rock. Her eyes landed on the crumpled form of an elder lioness, her soft brown coat reminding her of the boy she had been talking with earlier in the evening.

Her heart was breaking.

The small pain was enough to break her out of her trance, and her head whipped to the side to meet the gaze of her sister. Oh, she wasn't alone! "R-right," she stammered. "Okay!" she affirmed, shaking her head to try and dispel her doubts and fears.

She wasn't fine. She was far from ever being fine, but right now she needed to get away from here. If she didn't, Natia wouldn't run either... and she could not risk letting her sister get hurt. Swallowing her tears, the dark sister sprinted with her sister towards the safety of Pride Rock.

Jiniya hadn't even seen the hyena coming, and went flying backward at the heavy impact, a low grunt forced from her lungs. She opened her mouth to apologize, then froze as she realized that she hadn't run into a pridemate. Instead, it was a..hyena.

The only thing that prevented her from more than a panicked inhalation was the fact that he looked almost as frightened as she was. Out of the corner of her eyes, she caught sight of two more, who looked far less...unthreatening. "E-excuse me! Are you...ok?" She blurted out, the courtesy and apology second nature, and spoken without even thinking about it.

Before he could even reply, she was scrambling to her feet, trying to look capable of defending herself (probably failing miserably, with the tear-tracks drying in her dirty, dusty fur). However, the inherently sweet-natured adolescent wasn't generally inclined to violence, or prejudice...and even the day's trauma hadn't changed that.

While she may have usually been inclined to at least ask what they were doing on pride lands....she couldn't bring herself to care - in light of everything else going on today, a trio of hyenas, even if they were bent on mischief, were a drop in the bucket.

Simi leaned in closer to the help the brown lioness to her feet. "You can lean on me while we walk," the old lion replied. He figured it wouldn't be too much work to let her use him as a means of balancing herself; everyone needed to get moving. Hopefully if more saw him helping, those that were mostly uninjured would begin to assist others towards Pride Rock.

"Once we get somewhere safe, we will have a healer look at you," the old king reassured his new companion. "As long as we keep moving, the sooner we can have you somewhere safe and looked at." He hoped that his words would help her move forward faster, so that stragglers that had not yet left would follow with the group.

"I'm here," he said with a nod. He knew it wasn't probably the best to speak with her so informally, but he was rather friendly with her daughter and didn't think too much about what he was saying. He just wanted to make sure that she was safe.

"The safest place must be Pride Rock," he replied, feeling the wound on his chest begin to coagulate. He knew he needed a healer to inspect it before it solidifed too much, but there were so many that were so much more injured....he had to believe that he would be safe. "There is room under it to shelter, and though not everyone will fit...we will be safe. We can gather there and do what we can to move forward."

Never had he felt so driven, even if it came too late. Things had to change after tonight.

To say that Natia's heaert could sing in the middle of all this chaos wasn't necessarily incorrect; her love for her family drove her to these minor acts of bravery, of keeping her head on straight and focused on survival. She couldn't tell where her other two sisters had run off to, but that wasn't going to stop her from focusing on Kore. She knew that Equi and Solsti would be safe somewhere, as they were too smart to let some star dust knock them off their feet. She had to believe in that, and kept her feet moving as she ran in stride with Kore to Pride Rock; to a place that would feel like shelter in the storm.

The sheet panic that spread across Jehanum's body seemed to be reflected onto the young lioness he had run right into. She....she actually bothered to ask if he was ok. And to be honest with himself...he felt like he was anything other than 'ok'. This was a night that he was never going to forget; he could already feel the nightmares of it returning to him in the future. The 'blessing' that his father gave him.

"Come now," Jasi said, eyeing the lioness like she had grown a second head. There was never peace between the pride and the pack, although there had been something of a stalemate for a while. Not that the Pridelands seemed to know that the hyenas had swiped a few lions for themselves; who would notice in a pride of hundreds?

"Be quiet," Ama said, the male bristling at the sudden roadblock in their way. He should have predicted that there would be an issue to their escape route; pity that it had to be a lion that did not issue an attack; Ama did not wear a pelt lion for show. "We need to get out of here, and quick. As long as the lioness stays quiet, we will get out of here while everyone else is still licking their wounds."

"Ignore her, Jehanum," Jasi snapped, trying to get the grey hyena to focus back on his task.

Why was she so kind? There was so much death in the air, the scent of fear and sweat was hanging heavy in the night air. So why...why was that her first instinct? Were lions as bad as everyone in the Mava'bunda said, or was she just an exception to that rule?

"Be....be safe," Jehanum felt himself say before he turned to run again, quickly catching up with the older pair of hyenas as they disappeared into the night.

The screams were endless. The darkness was enveloping her as she cried into her dead father's mane. She could hear what sounded like higher pitch screams, then the thuds of the stars crashing into the earth around her. It would have felt like a miracle for her to lay here uninjured while the world crashed around her. But it wasn't. Her father was dead before her. She didn't know where Mkate was.

Everything she had done, had failed. Somehow, he had won. How was it not enough?

Her head swirled as she inhaled the dusty scent of her father. She could feel his body growing stiff, the warmth of his smile only a memory. It was like grasping for control of water, but feeling it slip between your paws. He was dead....the center of her world, as much as she had never wanted to tell Mkate. Her father had never been too involved in her day-to-day life; too dedicated to his fascination with storytelling. He would wander off for months to collect what stories he could. Every time he returned, he would share the good ones with all his daughters, sometimes even her mother would be there to listen. Only when they left, when the sun was growing leaner and ready to rest for the night would he share the darker stories he learned. Of cults, prayers, offerings. Even the ones that were supposed to scare you into listening to your parents, of staying on the safe roads of life. He shared everything with her, and she adored it. There had been many times where she wanted to go with him, to leave the Pridelands and learn the ways of oral history. But she had never quite been able to leave the comforts of the known, of home and sisters and extended family. Of guaranteed food and shelter and safety. Until the one night she had tried to go, and to only be met with disaster. With a curse she did not remember, of one that she still did not fully remember, but was feeling it n** at her sanity, bit by bit.

Her swollen belly reminded her that her own life was not only her's anymore; she was going to be a mother. But to feel that she had made a mistake, and had failed to protect her home...what was the life that her children were to inherit? One of ridicule and blame, to somehow be the cause of this? To be accused of cursing this peaceful home, or even being driven out of it by cruel hearts that did not understand?

No, said a voice in her mind. You did everything right. It was those who worked against you that brought this to fruition.

Those like Aoife, who worked against her to foil her plans. Of her offerings that may have disappeared before the creature took notice. Of prayers that were not offered with full hearts. Of a lazy king, who did nothing to help her. Did nothing to at least stop those like Aoife, determined to ruin her reputation.

It was those who had done this; who had invited destruction and outrage from the ancient kings. Those who had killed her father.

And it was those thoughts where she felt the last bits of her sanity dissolve away; only the swirling fuel of revenge and chaos pounded in her eardrums as she resolved to truly change this pride for the better.

He had tried so desperately to stay by Vitha's side. A panicked lion had crashed into him, and somehow another lion had cut him off; the pain clouded his eyes for a moment, and suddenly he couldn't tell what had happened. Where was Vitha? His bright blue eyes were desperately trying to look for her among the sea of moving bodies, those running in every direction to get away from the danger. Death was apparent, as he wasn't a stranger to it. He remembered the all out fight with the Mava'bunda quite a few years ago, and had nearly gotten himself killed in that fight. Ever since then, he had done his best to be good, to be a strong lion for his extended family so none would worry. Only now did he realize that worry was absolutely soul crushing.

"Vitha!" he yelled, trying to find her within all the chaos. His eyes rested on Aoife, somehow reconnected with the lioness that had such choice words for he and his mate. She was clearly injured, as as much as he did not trust her, he wasn't going to allow her to bleed out. There were paw marks all around her; clearly she hadn't been trampled, but no one had paused to check on her.

"Aoife," Mkate breathed, leaning down to check on her. She...looked absolutely wretched, tears streaming down her face and blood marring her otherwise spotless coat.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry...." she chanted over and over in an attempt to make herself feel better. To make all of this disappear. To will it into being a horrible vision of a future that would never come to pass. But her hitched breathing and the pain shooting from her shoulder pulled her into a reality she continued to deny. This really happened, and although it wasn't exactly what Vitha had warned, it was close enough that Aoife was wondering if there was some way that the black lioness was able to predict the future.

"Aoife!" Mkate yelled, trying to snap her out of it. "I swear, you and my mate are too similar. Wake up, we have to get you out of here." He was furious that she seemed so useless for the moment. He needed to be taking care of his mate, not this arrogant girl who had the king on her paw. "Get up!"

Aoife felt herself shake her head, feeling the desperation and despair sink into her mind. "I'm sorry," she whispered again before feeling the shock of a paw on her face. He....had he hit her? She suddenly yanked herself back into reality, to realize that the screaming and yelling around had started to fade. The stars were almost through with their falling, and things were oddly getting quieter. In some ways, that felt even worse. She didn't want to face tomorrow; to face her mistakes.

"I know you're pretty badly injured, but you need to get up and get to Pride Rock," Mkate sighed, trying to nudge her up after having just smacked her face. It had worked, at the least, and so he did not regret it. "I need to find Vitha. Go get yourself some help and get the hell out of here," he snarled before turning back to attempt to find Vitha within the thinning out crowds.

Nyimak stumbled along beside the lion that was helping her, she was really too tired and sore at the moment to think about much of anything. She focused on putting one paw in front of the other as she slowly moved along with the other lion's help. She couldn't help but wonder what would become of the pride land in this mess with the gods. She had met many kind gods, this was the first time she had met gods who sought to kill mortals. Then again the one god looked like he might have wanted to turn her into stone so there was that, she had gotten lucky. She didn't want to live her life in fear though or judge others for the actions of the few. Even if she gained scars from her foolish bravery. "Just lead the way it's hard to see with the blood in my eye."

------------------------------

Businge was moving along as fast as she could with the other lions who were fleeing to pride rock. She was sad and afraid this had been her home and such a safe wonderful place for so long what would become of the pride in the face of this madness?

The curse was sinking into his mind no matter how much he struggled with it. A power such as this was not something he had experience with; destruction was of matter, while Love was something...intangible. The loss of blood was draining his strength again, the curse was solidifying the fact that he was slipping towards sleep. Would it be a permanent sleep, or one where he slept for another hundred years, to be forgotten within the earth, to lose himself to nothingness again? In a way, it would have been a blessing; he did not want to face this new reality that taunted him, just out of his grasp. The anger that had filled him still licked as his mind, urging him to get up. Get up, go after what was just within your grasp. Finish your heart's desire, and sleep. Let go of the revenge, to rest forever with satisfaction running through your blood rather than anger.

And yet....he knew now that would satisfy him any longer. His heart's desire had shifted, though revenge was still the forefront. His view had widened, and he hated it.

He felt himself swirling in the thoughts of those that were near death; lost to what was going on around him. He did not spare a thought for the mortals who had died, let alone injured. The scent of blood did not sit well with him, although the stars crashing into the earth was not a power he possessed; something had happened out of his control, and had ruined yet another attempt at revenge. He did not full let himself think about Lumina, about her presence now missing in his life. All in one night, his life had changed, and he did not know if he would see the sun rise again.

And yet....

Mwisho. He heard his name, one he did not give....except to those he could recall on one paw. The absolute last soul he wanted to see was here. The last soul he wanted to see him, was here. His eyes widened in fear for a moment, slowly glancing up towards her form. She shined so brightly, power or not, and it hurt him. He felt the ache in his chest echoing the ache in his wing, and he felt a mixture of pleasure and fury not unlike his hatred for his parents. He did not have the aptitude for this, nor the time to figure it out. And yet she just had to do that to him....his cursed mother.

"Al....kaid," he felt himself breathe out before he was able to catch it from escaping. He was slow to react, sluggish in his mind and his heart. What was she doing here? He had yelled, and perhaps had released too much of himself into that yell, but for her to be here...had she been intrigued enough to follow him?

She was suddenly far, far too close to him. The discomfort from allowing someone so close to him was jarring, and unnerving, and he was beginning to realize just how must trust he had placed in Lumina....and how vulnerable he was at this moment. If these idiot mortals had been smart enough, they could have finished the job that the fallen star had begun.

"I...." he began, trying to focus his clouded mind on her. It was not hard, her face being nearly the only thing he could see at the moment. Many thoughts flitted through his mind, past and present, and the future that he wished to fulfill. He knew his face was an open book for her at the moment, but he was far too tired and defeated to allow any sort of shield against her.

"Yes," he replied, the fatigue in his voice apparent.

Maahes had hoped the female would have stayed safe with them under the overhanging rock but she sped off quickly and he made a note to look for her later after the chaos subsided.

- - -

Argyros set forth to doing his best to get the male to some sort of shelter as he watched, hope in his eyes, as his friend sped off to find one of the healers.

User Image

Looking around he knew that really the only place would be the shelter of the large rock face. "Over there, where most of everyone else is heading." It was really their only shot for now and he did his best to usher her that way. "We can check on the rest of your family members after we get you safe."

Magdelena was uncertain of what to do. Lions were dropping dead like flies and she spotted a family with young cubs and wasn't sure which way to go honestly. Finding a tree nearby she crouched against it tightly, fear just permeating from her.

Kitoko kept his eyes shut as he listened to the screams of those around him. The pale cub hated that all this chaos was happening around his family and he just wanted it all to stop.

As his mind was so swept up in the disaster at paw he neglected to even think about anyone not around here. What about the rest of the pride? Was his mate okay? Was this happening all over the pridelands or just in the immediate area? Quickly he took off in search for her.

Kimara began to stir, her head pounding as she lifted a paw to touch her face. "W-wha- what happened?" Fluttering her eyes open she looked up towards familiar faces.

"Oh thank goodness." Nesrin said with a smile, happy that she was seemingly alright.

Diora approached her and gave her a look over. "You're going to need to take it easy, I'm sure you have a minor concussion so I want to monitor you." She was going to have her paws full trying to ensure her friends were okay, there were plenty of healers within the lands but she still wanted to tend to them herself.

Remaining where she was she gave a nod. "Taking it easy won't be hard, I promise. I just hope Haru is okay." Hoping her mate was unscathed she would have to search for him once she was able.

The trio began the long process of assessing wounds and getting somewhere safe.

"Dad, I really want you to get checked out, let's go find you a healer." The dark male said to his paler father, cringing slightly as he looked upon his face.

"Okay. It really does hurt." He had been holding it in but as they had continued to walk along the more it had begun to hurt. It was possible he was going to lose the vision in that eye but other than that he'd heal up alright. Given he got to a healer sooner than later.

"Let's go." The two walked off to get checked out.

Otea had long since forgotten about manners in the situation at hand. Formalities were dropped with the chaos around. She knew she shouldn't be referring to the King but his first name, yet...here she was, doing just that.

Her form was shaking as the adrenaline continued to coarse through her body. She felt herself leaning against Hari as the trembles seemed to worsen. "...Pride Rock," she murmured, glancing towards the large rock formation, and the herd of lions that seemed to be starting their way there. Her eyes met Tau's as she nodded.

Move forward. While it seemed like the impossible right now, the King was right. This was the Circle of Life, if not but a cruel form of it. Life had been taken, but some were still alive. They needed to regroup, rebuild.

"You need to get yourself looked at..." she found herself speaking softly, eyeing the wound on his chest. If they lost their king too... No. She couldn't think of that. Another bout of adrenaline hit her as the trembles subsided. Hari was ushering in the direction of the pride's noted landmark. Although her parents were gone, she hadn't seen her children perish. Surely they were okay too. She would only find out if she would move!

"Let's go," Otea stated, finding a renewed confidence. Even in these dark times, one still needed to find hope. Now was the time to focus on that light.

Jiniya was breathing heavily, fear and lingering upset refusing to release their grip. She watched the trio of hyenas flee into the night, posture rigid until they disappeared from sight. The one who had knocked her over...had he really told her to be safe, before following the pair of..well, the pair who'd been what she had always expected hyenas to be - aggressive and menacing - although they had clearly had priorities other than abusing a shaken adolescent.

Shaking herself, she waited a moment longer before making her way carefully back to the pride rock, stopping briefly a few times when she came across a pridemate that she thought she could help...guilt at her own lack of injury sitting heavy in her gut. The whole while, she found herself silently hoping that her family had come through things unscathed - even as that hope made her feel...almost selfish for doing so.

Her steps quickened as she approached the pride rock, eyes widening as she took in just how chaotic things were where most of the pride was congregating. Alleviating her fears wasn't likely to happen anytime soon, from the sight of things....

While he knew he needed to be tended to, that could wait. Following along after her he knew the pride had a lot to come back from. Hopefully sooner rather than later. "Right beside you." He said walking along with her towards Pride Rock.

She wasn't a coward was she? She felt like she was. It was almost like her childhood all over again and she realized then that she didn't feel safe anymore. This made her want her 'mother' more desperately than anything but she didn't have anything to summon her by with her. She never carried it, she never thought she'd need it. Realizing then that she should move to where everyone else was heading the pale female moved towards Pride rock, slowly, eyes absorbing all the dead bodies around her. The nightmares from her youth coming back.

White form, covered in dirt and other things looked up at his father with hopeless eyes, he was going to be scarred for life because of this. Most likely, maybe not. Would it shape his future differently than if he had never witnessed the death around him? Perhaps it would make him a better lion in the end, who was to say really. The pale cub just knew that he wasn't sure of how he felt except that he was scared. Seeing his mother then not too far away he bolted towards her. "Mother!" he cried out glad to see she was alright.

There was so much pain and horror surrounding her; even as a goddess whose domain did not touch emotions or thoughts she felt it like a cloud in the air, suffocating and dark. How much of it had been Mwisho and how much of it had already been here she could not have said. All she knew, in that moment, was that this soul was as lost and hurt as any of those mortals that were scattering to the winds.

"Do not be afraid of me, please," she breathed, taking careful steps forward. She made sure every moment she made was plain and simple and easy for the injured male to follow lest that same panic grip him once more and make him fight against her attempts to remove him from this situation.

The closer she grew to him, the more evident it was that he was incredibly injured. The scent of his blood hit her nose, thick and metallic. It made her beautiful face pull to a grimace and her heart lodged itself securely in the base of her throat. The look in his eyes, the panic and the fear laced with anger, was so intense that she was not sure even he could distinguish his own emotions from one another. What had happened in his life to break him so entirely? Could it really have possibly just been the misfortune of his own domain? Her thoughts drifted to the dark god that had been her shelter in her youth and she found herself dismissing that thought; no, even the darkest, cruelest domains could embrace greatness.

At last, she drew herself up within touching distance of the dark, hulking mass. "We'll go somewhere safe now."

The goddess did not give him time to protest as she spread her great wings into an arc around him and leaned forward, delicately pressing her forehead into his and closing her eyes. The pair of them filled with a brilliant light that grew to a glare before sinking, quickly, to a pinpoint.

As it extinguished in upon itself, they were gone.

The tiny white cub wasn't sure how this was going to shape how he grew into an adult but he knew one thing, he wasn't going to GO NEAR anything that was as big as those winged things in the sky.

Finally able to feel his legs he darted towards his mother and siblings where he would be safe.

Magdelena let out a horrible cry at the bodies that laid around and took off towards the first direction she was able to move in. Her future in the pridelands might be over after this, but who was to say what the future would hold for her.

(and that's fin for my last 2-never doing that many again)

Tau mentally was so worn down, it took everything that was left within him to push forward. How easy would it be to give into the darkness that threatened them? The stars had ceased falling, but the damage was done. Complete. The star that had torn through his shoulder left an invisible wound on his soul. He shuddered a bit at he felt Otea's eyes on him, worry clear across her face. Even at a time when he felt like a failure, having someone to worry about him.... really helped.

"T-thank you, Otea." It was nice to have something to use as an emotional rock as he steadied himself against the torrent he knew was going to hit them all after this night. He wasn't sure how he was going to handle this; the question of his rule was more than certain. And he was going to have to learn how to accept responsibility. The weight of the crown rested heavy on his proverbial head; so many lives were lost, under his rule. He would have to converse with the historians if there was such a bloody day as this in their history, completely be 'accident'.

He limped towards Pride Rock, doing his best to herd others to continue on. The area where everyone had gathered was oddly empty, save for the bodies that littered the ground, and the blood that seeped into the grass, obscured by the night to only appear as dark voids that would swallow you whole if you looked too long. Tomorrow would be a very, very hard day, once the sun rose over the horizon.

The moment of realization took longer than she had anticipated, and it wasn't until Mkate was a few lengths away from her that she realized he was actually leaving her. There were still some stragglers making their way back to Pride Rock, but she oddly didn't want to go with them. She still did not fully trust what was going on with her eyes, and the last thing she wanted was to be left alone with her thoughts. "Don't... leave me...!" She pushed herself up and scrambled towards Mkate, her sides heaving heavily as she struggled to breathe. Was this a vision, a dream? Oh, how she wished, even if she knew it was reality.

Mkate could hear Aoife calling for him behind her, but he was still more focused on rescuing his mate than helping that foolish girl. He knew that there was no way any of this was her fault, but it was true that Aoife and Vitha mixed as well as the sun and moon; they would never get along.

He rushed to Vitha's side, skidding to a half and nearly crashing into her. He nudged her gently, trying to get her attention. She seemed completely out of it, a rather terrifying look frozen on her face as dried tears matted the fur around her eyes. "Vitha! Vitha, come back to me," he yelled as he nuzzled her neck, trying to get her to focus back on the reality. He was terrified that something inside of her broke, and she was still heavily pregnant with their cubs.

Vitha did not respond. Her breathing was shallow, but upon listening to her chest, her heart sounded alright. He raised his head to see Aoife struggling towards them. "Let me help," she whispered, winded. She sat next to Vitha, someone that she had desperately hated. "What...is wrong?" she whispered, her own blue eyes flying open with panic and worry. Something felt incredibly wrong here; even moreso than the ancestors' fury being thrown down upon them.

"I don't know," Mkate grumbled, nudging the black lioness to her feet. She was unsteady, still unresponsive. Like hell he was going to leave her out here. "But help me drag her home. I've got to get her into the den to rest. She's going to have a lot to work through, and those cubs will probably be coming any moment at this point."

How...could Aoife forget? The tragedy of the night, as well as the darkness that cloaked over Vitha had made the seer completely forget about that. "Right. I'll help." She turned to the black lioness, nudging her along as gently as she could stomach. "Come on, enemy of mine. I would rather prove you wrong than win by you laying down here and giving up." The words were hard to say; how could Aoife ever prove that Vitha was a liar after tonight? But those words made the black lioness finally start to move, step by step. The odd trio slowly made their way back towards home, towards a place that had once felt completely protected from the outside world.

The peace of the Pridelands was shattered, but who was to really be at fault for it? The gods, or the ancestors of the great kings in the sky?
