Mermaid Melody

So I thought I'd check this anime out because it involved mermaids (which I love). But after watching one episode I was disappointed. It seemed like a combination of Disney's The Little Mermaid and Sailor Moon.

Does anyone else feel the same?

I agree with the Sailor Moon part,
But the anime was good in a sweet way but it was... how do you say it, very childish.
I don't mind watching cute animes here and there so I didn't really mind. whee
