Illusions: Carmen can create, shape and manipulate illusions, causing targets to see, hear, touch, smell and/or taste things which do not actually exist or cause them to perceive things differently from what they truly are.
Do they have any notable weaknesses?
Augmented reality is the easiest for her to do. The more unrealistic the illusion the harder it is for her to hold as the other person won’t accept that reality easily. Also the harder she has to concentrate on the illusion she is forcing on someones mind the less aware she is on her current surroundings and therefore more vulnerable to physical attacks.
What is their personality like?
Carmen is rather polite and friendly to those around her, though above all she will take action to right wrongs. However since Oliver’s death and her imprisonment Carmen has become rather paranoid. She often hallucinates and talks to Oliver despite him no longer being around.
What is their backstory?
Born in the U.K. Carmen has had her power for as long as she can remember. It was discovered as a young child where the people around her would see what she was imagining in her mind while playing. As both her parents are deviants they were quite supportive, homeschooling her for a year while Providence taught her how to control her gift. Once she returned to public school she still spent most afternoons at the advocate building. As an adult she would often volunteer on her free time as her gift is most useful in helping new deviants, however when attacks began in the U.S. by a group of Deviant supremacist calling themselves The Dominion she moved to the U.S. She hoped to help Providence recover from the initial attack in L.A. and those who had been affected. After only a few short weeks of being in the U.S she met Oliver at a French Café and quickly learnt they had much more in common than being from the U.K. Soon they were inseparable and not long after they were engaged. Then the Battle of New York came. Carmen was captured, Oliver killed. Though she was later rescued, Carmen has never been the same since.
