What are their powers/abilities?
Elemental Manipulation: Scott has the ability to manipulate the four basic elements. Earth, air, water, and fire. He had complete domain over the four even going so far as to be able to manipulate variants. At his peak he could move the earth in metal but he no longer possesses that capability. He can manipulate water to turn it into ice but once it had been turned into ice he must turn it back into water before he can control it again.
Do they have any notable weaknesses?
Scott's weakness is not a physical one. His mind was shattered resulting in the personalities of Edmond, Salazar, Jason, and Cedric. Each personality maintains superior control over one of the elements. Scott is the only personality with access to all four elements but in using an element that is controlled by a different personality, he risks that personality taking over.
What is their personality like?
Scott Ryder: Scott is the first personality the formed in this body. Scott is the reason the original personality was destroyed and various other's formed from the fragments of his mind. Scott is friendly and kind but ultimately a very focused man. Anyone who interferes with his focus will see a less friendly side. He works at all times to keep the other four personalities suppressed. He tries to remain positive to keep Salazar at bay. Salazar is the only personality he fears. The others are not inherently evil.
Salazar Black: The villain. A snake among men. With words he could convince you to tear your best friends apart. He is cruel and unfeeling. Heartless and merciless. Fire is his element and he rises when Scott feels great hatred or anger. Salazar is the hardest personality to regain control back from. There has been a period of a year where Salazar was in control and Scott was almost completely destroyed.
Edmond Monte: Edmond is a man of refinement. He seeks only the best in terms of company and living style. He spends extravagantly and speaks with elegance and class. Edmond controls the element of air exceptionally well and tends to emerge in situations where Scott is forced into extravagance because that is what attracts him.
Jason Spear: Jason is the pacifist of the personalities. He is a mute who is kind to as many people as he can be. He doesn't like violence and tries to preserve peace as often as he can. He controls water exceptionally but due to his passive nature, he is unlikely to try and take control of the body.
Cedric McLeod: The hero. Cedric believes that the only reason there is injustice in the world is because people refuse to fight it. He is a man of honor, nobility and truth. Cedric controls earth primarily and emerges in times where Scott is fighting injustice.
What is their backstory?
Scott was never Legion's original name. The body that the five inhabit was once home to the mind of Alec Redmond. Alec had mastery over his abilities and for the most part used them insignificantly until he began picking fights with the Dominion. One day that decision cost him, he was captured and imprisoned. Months passed where his will to rebel was not broken. Telepaths tried to force him to abandon his quest but he found ways to refuse them. eventually they grew tired of the peaceful method and one particular telepath used him as an experiment. She created a mind in his own. She named that mind Scott Ryder. The telepath induced a multiple personality disorder in Alec's mind. Then, because Alec was resistant and Scott was not (as she had made him to be so), the telepath shattered Scott's mind into hundreds of personalities. Alec was lost in the flood. A long time passed before Providence found him. they used their telepaths to try and fix what had been done but after two years they had only narrowed the number down to five personas. Alec Redmond was gone and there was nothing they could do to change that. Scott chose to stay and work with them but Salazar disagreed. One night Salazar took over and attacked the people in Providence knowing they would see Scott as a risk. He was stopped but before any decision could be made, Scott left. He didn't want to hurt them any more than he had. These days he works as a bartender. It is easy work and alcohol keeps the other personas dulled most of the time. Most.
