Gravity Manipulation – the user can create, shape and manipulate gravitation, a natural phenomenon by which all physical bodies attract each other, and gravitons, hypothetical elementary particles that mediate the force of gravitation.
Her abilities depend on her ability to focus. Rather than manipulating objects directly, she manipulates the force of gravity, which means that it requires an equal amount of focus for her to lift a paperclip as it does to lift a truck. It is usually the quantity of things she has to manipulate that exhausts her. She has used her powers to simulate flight, move objects with relative ease, and in some of the most impressive cases, even use a gravitational field to amplify her strength and generate force fields. Common side effects of over exertion involve headaches that can go so far as to leave her unable to use her powers for a period of time.

Elizabeth has a genuine passion for helping others, thus making her naturally kind and compassionate. Notably, she takes great interest in work, doing so more out of passion, rather than superficial things such as pay. It makes her feel better to support those like herself. Having strong motherly instincts when it comes to those in her care, she’s also quite protective on a personal level with them, putting their needs above her own. She was initially a strict pacifist, but has been convinced that force has become a necessity in a time of war, though she remains reluctant to witness any more carnage.
What is their backstory?
Born in Birmingham, England, Elizabeth was the eldest of three. Elizabeth’s unique power was discovered when she was seven years old. Her mother was in the middle of reading a bedtime story, letting Elizabeth’s mind wander. It wasn’t until halfway through the book when she realized that objects were being levitated around them as a direct result of her mind’s ability to alter gravity. Her mother was not willing to give up hope, and thus did her best to help Elizabeth understand and control her powers, often by telling her to calm her mind. In a state of peace, she was able to keep objects from moving, thus rendering her visibly “normal”. Despite her family’s words, Elizabeth continued to practice her powers in secrecy. Her parents continued to know nothing of her advancements, and assumed that their daughter’s “curse” had died away. In order to have a better understanding, she pursued a doctorate in Biology, gaining degrees for genetics and biophysics. Her expertise and powers gained employment for Providence, where she can help people like herself, progressing to the position of Head Scientist due to her up-to-date intellect on deviants, having been a favorite of the previous Head of the Science Department.
