"More little bundles of joy!"

She had news; in fact, she had wonderful news! She was positively bubbling with anticipation and as she swanned in to her new home she had expected at least a curious glance from her new mate. After all, every time she acted like this she usually had something exciting to declare and he had at least feigned some sort of interest but today...well he scarcely looked up from whatever it was he was working on this time.

What was he working on?

Gideon had visited, she'd been delighted to be the host and everything, but no sooner had he arrived than he had been squirreled into a room to discuss something. Was it to do with the fact that Prometheus was at the center of a maelstrom and now required the armed escort of all of Destati's allies? Ever since it had been established that he was the son of a Justicar there had been a buzz that even she couldn't have anticipated and as of yet, the lioness hadn't managed to get an explanation. As Destati had said numerous times, he would tell her when the time was right, but for now there was no news.

...All she needed to know was that the three sons were safe, and that none were going to lose their heads any time soon!

Alas, she would pry again later when Destati was done pouring over yet more information. For the time being though, she would deal with her own news and now that Gideon had departed it meant that the deity had the perfect opportunity to intrude upon her husband. It was for this reason that she had poked her head around the entrance of the room and was staring at him with particularly wide eyes... and then she had waited, and waited, and waited. Oh she knew he knew she was there but he was deliberately ignoring her at the moment and that was a little more exasperating than she cared to admit.

How long was she going to have to stare at him expectantly?

"Ahem," she murmured, deliberately making herself known just in case he wasn't actually aware with her; but instead of getting the response she wanted, the damn male continued to work. He was doing this on purpose, she was now sure of it. "Helloooo!" she continued, pausing briefly to see if he reacted, before furrowing her brow. No, he was definitely ignoring her at this stage because she knew he wasn't deaf and even when he concentrated he heard basically everything.

"HEY!"

"Yes?" He finally looked up, his own features schooling into an expectant expression as he regarded the lioness. As usual she had been up to something, she was giddy again, and he generally knew what this meant. She'd achieved something, done something, or arranged something and it somehow involved someone in this household or him - either way if it involved the household then it usually included him anyway.

"I have news," she said with a grin.

"Is that so?" He mused.

"Mhm, it's all good news though, no nasty surprises or anything, I haven't annoyed anyone," she paused and lifted a brow. "Well at least not anyone important," she mused thoughtfully, noting that she didn't necessarily think highly of the Dragon Priests in her new home.

"Well that's certainly something," Destati agreed, noting that he'd had enough complaints from the religious sect to do him for a few years by now. Suffice it to say that they were struggling to comprehend how this winged being even existed, how she came to be, and precisely what she was... To say it would be heresy to point out she was divine at this moment in time, would have been an understatement. In that respect, this was most assuredly a battle for another time, and one he suspected his own son might pick up in the future if he decided to walk down the path so many seemed to demand he take.

"Yes I figured you might say that, so, on with the news -"

"You are pregnant," he interrupted and lifted a brow. "Again. For the third time."

She looked decidedly put out by his deadpan tone and, in general, the fact that he had interrupted her. Worse? Well he was right and she had rather felt she'd kept that under wraps, she wasn't even showing yet! She glanced down at her own stomach to check that as well, just in case she may have ballooned within the last few weeks but on this occasion, she definitely hadn't.

"What - how?" she sounded deflated.

"You seem to have the capacity to have my children like clockwork," he shook his head. "At this point it isn't really a surprise so much as an expectation that within a year to a year and a half, I'll be the father of a new batch," he sighed. "I'm officially going to have the largest family in the entire history of my line, Arimathras," he remarked. "For which I offer you congratulations on the feat, but I do sympathise with those who assist in the running of this household, they're never going to get a rest."

"I didn't think I was that bad," Ari murmured.

"Have you taken note of the ages of our offspring?" he mused. "Or have you simply enjoyed the bundles of fluff and started a collection?" he added. She did, at the very least, have the decency to look sheepish on that score.

"Well yes, you rained on my parade but you are going to be a father again."

"For the third time."

"For the third time," she nodded.

"How many?"

"Well I don't know that I'm not exactly psychic."

"You should work on that," Destati advised.

"Oh I'll get right on that," she replied with a lifted brow of her own. "Are you at least going to be happy or are we just going with 'oh there'll be another batch in a year and a half' so this is just a seasonal thing?"

"I'm delighted," Destati rolled his eyes. "No I am really."

She didn't seem convinced.

"I just have to deliver the news to the household, that's all."

"Oh they already know," she waved her paw. "I already told them when I first found out a few weeks ago."

"What?"

"I am the lady of this household!"

"You knew weeks ago and you didn't decide until now to tell me?"

"I wanted it to be a surprise but you already knew anyway!"

"ARI!"

It was a conversation that was destined to continue for a while, with the Justicar's work largely forgotten...
