The evening was like most other evenings that had come before it, days seemed to melt into weeks and before Huo knew it life had somehow passed her by. She missed her father on days like this - but summoning him when she felt lonely seemed like a selfish act. So, she would hold her feelings inside and wait for them to pass, sorrow never seemed to last long at least. Feelings could be so fleeting, maybe she was having a hard time finding her own meaning in life - maybe it was time for her to do something about her loneliness. Something needed to change.

She would visit her mother, that would cheer her up, right? She had always found comfort in her visits, Ki was always so warm and easy to be around. Companionship was something she both lacked and desired. Maybe that was her real issue though, maybe she relied on her parents company too much. Maybe she needed to actually go out and meet someone else, someone new.

A new face might be just the cure for her loneliness. Or maybe it would just be a welcomed change - she could only hope for now. With a heavy sigh she sat herself down beside a large tree, basking in it's shade as the sky changed to colors of cool warmth, the marriage of orange and blue never looked so satisfyingly beautiful.

The pale male had the opportunity to see his father not long ago. Things seemed to be going well, or as well as they could be, for his father. Not that they had much of a relationship. While there was one there, it wasn't a super close bond. Still he was close enough to his father to get to know him and his new half siblings he had been toeing along.

They had talked about a few things and eventually Ctik was making his way towards the pridelands. While he was uncertain on if he had any family there or not he could at least start up a family of his own perhaps there or even just pass through. Uncertain of what type of male he was who was to say what the future held.

As he walked his attention was stolen by a fiery goddess. She was sitting near a tree and her colors just glowed against the bright greens of the lands. It was one of the reasons he knew he was no longer in the rogue lands. The change of scenery. "Hello." His voice was smooth as he spoke to her.

"Mmm?" A mutter escaped her as she turned to face the unfamiliar voice, her sapphire eyes settling on his figure as she searched over his feathers carefully. She needed to make sure he wasn't a threat, of course - with a murderer on the loose and all. Lucky for her he seemed harmless - for now. If he meant any ill will he wouldn't have bothered to introduce himself, right? She tilted her head and moved herself to her paws, eyes dancing across his figure as she spoke again with a welcoming tone.

"Can I help you?" Was he lost? Sometimes vagabonds came through, she wouldn't be supersized if he was just passing by on his way to some place else; the world was so vast after all.

"My name is Huo, if you need any help please let me know?" She was trying to be helpful at least.

As he grew closer he couldn't help but notice her eyes, they were quite the nice contrast against her fiery form. "I believe you can? I'm trying to find the pridelands. I believe I'm close or already on them? If not please let me know otherwise." He really hoped he was in the right place, he'd be a little miffed if he'd gone the wrong way.

"My name is Ctik, it's a pleasure to meet you Kora." He paused a small distance away from her, but also wasn't close enough to be seen as a total threat, not wanting to cause any distress to her. He really wasn't a bad guy by any means, but he knew that sometimes things weren't always going well for places and he didn't want to assume everything was hunky dory here.

Strange.

Huo frowned a little, was he totally unaware of where he was? She felt a chuckle leave her as she spoke again, never meaning to seem rude.

"You are here." The comment was short, but honest. it was funny seeing one so lost.

"Oh, welcome to the Pridelands, Ctik." She would nod as she spoke, implying some sense of respect. The blue eyed seer smiled at him and stood, her red figure lean and long. She was pretty tall for a lioness, maybe it had to do with her father being a God? She never could say.

"What brings you all the way out here?" The lioness asked with another slight smile, trying to help this lost soul find his way.

"Careful now, things haven't been so perfect lately. We have some odd happenings disturbing this place." As she spoke the red lioness sat with her tail curled around her paws, eyes never leaving his figure.

Even if he was harmless... she would keep eyes on him. One could never be too careful. In truth she could tap into her powers for foresight if she really needed to, but Huo tried her best never to use them.

Something about it felt dirty,

"I see. I wish I could help you more, but I fear I do not know your father, from the looks of you at least." She gave him a smile.

"If you would like some company - I could join you for a while? I haven't been doing much with my day, just stuck in my head." Maybe this would help get her out of her own personal rut.

The red lioness blushed as a laugh escaped her maw. "I feel like I hardly know anyone here, if I am being completely honest." It was a pity she knew her help wouldn't offer much to this newcomer, however, she would offer it all the same.

It was in her better nature to be helpful, kindness went a long way.

"-but if you would like the company in your search, I would be glad to join you." A soft smile crossed her lips as blue eyes narrowed.

"I can not be out for long, my mother will want me home soon for our nightly dinner, but while I am able to, I would like to." Huo gave the male another smile, this time it came followed by nod. Her tail flicked from side to side as she stood and awaited his reply.
