Ama had been asked to check on the status of the Pridelands. It had been quiet since the night the stars fell, and the Alpha was anxious. The Pridelands were always quiet, but it had been apparent that hyenas were within their borders once the chaos began. Jehanum had come back with only half of his mane intact, and Jasi and he had sworn that there was something wrong with those lion infested lands. Regardless, the Alpha wanted eyes on the Pridelands at all times. Now, her demands were for eyes to go into the border, to cross into their territory to make sure that everything was still quiet.

"How much farther do we need to go?" Saavedra asked. She was normally just a hunter, and at times, a scavenger. Once in a while she would secure routes to newer, fresher watering holes after the rains, but otherwise she was just another worker bee in the pack. Ama had requested she go with him, and she willingly complied. The female had no idea what to do, and was depending on Ama to give her orders on the task that was needed.

"A bit in; we were much further into the border on that night, but we just need to catch wind if they'll be doing anything against us. You're here because you blend in well." He did too, and the lion pelt on his shoulders used to mask his scent better. He had had it for so long, it was losing its unique smell and began to smell more like they Mava'bunda pack; death and hyenas, and dirt.

"Alright. There won't be any...fighting, right? I can hunt but I am not worth much more than that." She was trying to find a bit of bravery in herself, but she hadn't wandered into lion territory before.

"No," Ama replied. "Besides, the lions here do not know how to fight."
