AJ Styles vs. Rob Van Dam

The mysterious music started to play as it hit the PA system and was heard all around the arena. The crowd looked onto the stage, to see someone walk out. They knew who it was, but couldn't quite see his face completely. AJ Styles walked through the curtain and then got on his knees as he looked down. Half his face was covered by his hair coming down to his face, and the other half was dark due to the shadow of AJ's hoodie that he had on at the same time. His music started to continue as everyone was waiting. It was dark on the stage, as suddenly, pyro had then exploded in the back. The light suddenly shined on AJ, as his theme song exploded as AJ then got up and stood on his feet. He spread out his arms, as he then threw off his hood looking around the arena as the crowd started to make some noise and cheer for AJ Styles. He then threw up his hand signal as he then combined his hands together to show and complete the logo that was implanted on his gloves. He then threw his hands down and then made gun fingers towards the ring, looking more ready than ever. He put his arms down and looked around the arena once again and then started to walk off the stage and down the ramp. The camera focused on the look of determination on AJ's eyes, as it really showed him focused. The announcer then stood up and then started to introduce AJ to the ring. "Introducing to the ring, from Gainesville, Georgia, weighing in at 220 pounds, he is the Phenomenal One, A...J...STTTYLLLLES!" Continuing to walk down the ramp, he never stopped his expression on his face, which looked serious here tonight. He then started to raise his arms up while walking down the ramp, then raising up his hands to make and show the logo on his gloves. He put his hands down and continued walking down the ramp still. He eventually reached the end of the ramp while looking around the arena, and knew he was being watched around the world. AJ Styles then made a front approach to the ring, and then grabbed the top rope, and then springboarded over the top rope and then landed himself in the ring. Styles walked to the middle of the ring and started into the camera, and then suddenly spread out his arms and then had one finger out for each hand. He started to walk to a near corner and then spreading his arms once again, taunting the crowd. He then jumped down, and started to wait.

Rob Van Dam's theme slowly starts and gets louder after the fans can here the words "ONE OF A KIND!" Hit the PA system. Once they hear the theme, they begin cheering loud, and RVD walks out from the curtains smiling, and look at the crowd who continues to cheer. He takes a few steps until he reaches the top of the ramp and takes another good glance at the cheering audience, and he quickly raises his arms and a short pyro goes off. Van Dam then begins walking down the ramp just before his introduction.

Announcer: And his opponent, making his return to the ring, from Battle Creek Michigan, weighing in at 236 pounds, ROB...VAN...DAAMM!"







Rob Van Dam continues down the ramp, smiling at the fans in attendance and shakes a few of their hands before he makes it to the ring. He walks up the steps and stops to take another glance at the fans before he enters through the second rope. RVD walks to the TB and climbs to the middle one, and does his classic "ROB... VAN... DAM" taunt up there. He then gets down, doing some stretches, practicing punches and kicks to prepare for his match.

Styles looked across the ring from RVD, and tried to analyze everything he had in his arsenal in order to match him and beat him in this match. The bell rung three times, as Styles started to get out of his corner and circle the ring.

RVD looked across at AJ Styles, a VERY familiar opponent, as he listened to the crowd that attended to get a surprise with Rob's return to the ring, lighting up the arena with "RVD RVD RVD" chants.

Rob looks at all of them with a big grin and does his special "Rob..Van...Dam" taunt, and then focuses back on AJ, ready to go at it, win or lose, he's happy to be back.

Styles would circle the ring with Van Dam and started to lift up his arms, waiting for how RVD would react.

Rob would circle with him, and would raise an arm up, closing in on Styles before quickly switching behind him and attempting a waist lock.

Styles was in the waist lock for a bit, but quickly reacted. Styles put his arm over Van Dam's head and tried to lock in a headlock.

Rob was transitioned into a headlock. After being in it for a while, RVD used his awareness to back himself and AJ up to the ropes behind them and push AJ off to the other ropes.

Not expecting that Styles would be reversed into the ropes, Styles quickly ran to the ropes then came back to RVD.

RVD attempts a drop kick to the returning AJ Styles.

Styles was hit with the dropkick by Van Dam, as Styles would go down holding his face! He quickly got back up to try to recover as quickly as he can.

Rob quickly went over to AJ when he got up, and put him in his kryptonite, a HEADLOCK!

AJ Styles was then put in the headlock as he struggled for a bit. He then started to get up and push Van Dam near the ropes, then try to send RVD to the opposite side of the ropes himself!

Rob was sent to the ropes this time, coming back towards AJ with speed

Styles quickly tried to go for a leapfrog over Van Dam making him bounce off the ropes again.
