Neon Manipulation:
User can create, shape and manipulate neon, a colorless, odorless, inert monatomic gas under standard conditions, but when under low pressure glows a bright orange-red if an electric current is passed through it. Neon at it's base is a gas ignited by heat or fire. Manipulating this ability allows Gian to fly during daytime and glide during the night. He is able to run at extreme speeds, escaping numerous high speed chases by foot alone. Because the sun generates heat, he is more dangerous in the day than he is at night, the a latter of which requires him to drain energy from heat substances like cigarettes to even light itself to access most of his capabilities. It has not been determined how fast he can move, most comparisons being drawn to him moving past the limits of a sports car. It is perceived because his powers derive from light itself that he moves to those limits, but it's quite possible that he only speeds at the rate of 343 miles per second, that being the rate of a Mach 5 vehicle or less. Surely not a contender against someone who solely relies on speed, but quick enough to get from point A to point Z in less than ten seconds or less. Lastly, he is capable of creating constructs with this light, being able to adjust how hot the lights can burn if he has to detain someone. He can mainly project these abilities out from his hands and his eyes. Sometimes the torso and the mouth.
When he has fully absorbed heat, he is capable of turning into a Neon based form, capable of travelling through various light outlets as well as using these outlets as a secondary sense.
Do they have any notable weaknesses?
The main weakness is day and night. Literally. Gian is a heat absorbing machine when in the day, gas usually emanating from around his body almost like the faint signs of smoke. The sun gives him his strength. Without light, he has some power, but it's not to a heavy degree, which is why at night, he's at the mercy of draining lights and other forms for heat based energies.
Outside of these powers, he has no super strength or anything that can keep him immune to things like illnesses and the likes. He's a human, basically, even with his powers. He can be virtually immune when in his light form, but that has a limit, especially when there's not enough gas or light to generate the energy to keep it going./size]
What is their personality like?
He's still quite the learner for English, the male often messing up, but he does like to have a good time regardless. His smiles are quite dazzling and his chuckles tend to be a bit sinister. Because of how it was beaten into him, he believes being rebellious is fun and he thrives off the thrill to cause anarchy. He truly believes Deviants to be the next step in evolution, though his heart holds a soft spot for humans who truly are innocent. He sports a masculine demeanor about him, but he can be quite the sassy and flamboyant male when he desires.
What is their backstory?
Having power is never a good thing, right? That's what it is told at least, especially in the notion that no man, race wise, should never hold the ability to have so much of it. As a kid, he thought just like that.Hard to think of another perspective when you have a family of catholics believing satan plagued the body in a small town in Ecuador.
It started with lights flickering out whenever he was around and candles blowing out. People assumed he was evil and always lashed out on him for it, his own family included. Eventually, his eyes wouldn't stop changing, leaving from the natural blue to a neonic purple.The male only sought comfort among the other male he was trapped in a dungeon with, which led to other implications as they got older. The snapping point occurred when this figure died, possibly from the rigorous amounts of torture and neglect. That made him snap, leaving this religious town in quite the wake.
Gian, ever since, had travelled to America by rowboats and rafts, learning English at the age of 20 and because school was something he could never afford, he spent his time learning a trade from the father-like figure who discovered him, finding a passion in designing hair and tattoos. The hate was still there however and eventually he set out on a path that started off with petty crimes, but soon turned into full blown heists. Why should he hide who he was anymore? Wasn't it fun to dabble into chaos every once in a while.
