Brandon has had basic gun and self-defense training. He has some medical training and uses equipment to make up for his short comings, such as armour and a mask with an air filter built in. After repeatedly taking a serum made of his companions blood Brandon has gained the power of complete regeneration at a cost. Brandon can heal from any wound, purge any poison and cleans his body of any toxins. However in order for his ability to activate he must first die. His body regenerates from the biggest part and breaks down materials around him to aid in the process if there is not enough matter inside his body to complete the process. It takes him about one minute to resurrect and he retains the memories from before his death.
Do they have any notable weaknesses?
While his power does seem impressive at first glance, it is possible to incapacitate him without killing him and from there restrain him like any other human. He can still feel pain. Aside from that he has no psychic defense and a sufficient blow of any kind would kill him.
What is their personality like?
Brandon is a logical thinker who rarely show affection to people he doesn't know. Since his imprisonment he has changed considerably, no longer the cocky egotist that pursued one man without reason and now more cold and unfeeling, preferring to hide behind his mask and say little. He is a deplorable person who tries to put his own self interest above that of others but often ends up failing and begrudgingly helping out. He wants desperately to be his own person but feels that he is trapped in the shadow of others as to whether this is true or not, is irrelevant. To the few people he does like with he is different, softer, to the point where he might even go so far as to consider their feelings. As Brandon comes to understand the nature of his power the more detached he becomes from the rest of the world.
What is their backstory?
Brandon grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere. His father was the town doctor and his mother; a nurse helped him in his surgery. He was an average kid, he got into fights climbed trees and normal things. When he was eighteen he left home for university to study medicine. He was particularly fascinated by deviants and their abilities. His dream was to run a surgery that helped anyone who entered without question, something that was questionable from a financial and legal opinion but he didn’t mind. Well that was his dream until he a certain man and everything changed.
Brandon had just started his second year, things were going great, he had earned a reputation as a hard working student and even managed to get himself a part time job working in a hospital. One night while leaving the hospital he met a girl who was waiting outside for someone, he tried chatting her up but she didn’t seem particularly interested and he may have persisted a little too much and she ended up backing up into oncoming traffic. The girl wasn’t seriously hurt, so after giving her the once over her left. He was also trying to avoid police attention as something like that would seriously affect his career.
A few days later footage of the event had found its way online and video of it was broadcast on the side of the hospital where he worked for everyone to see, needless to say he lost his job. But it didn’t end there, once the school found out about the incident he was kicked off his course. Understandably the police also wanted to talk to him about the video but by the time they went knocking he had already packed up and left town. The video itself listed its creator as a Jason Wright and Brandon swore that he would take revenge on the b*****d that ruined his life. The man he was chasing was quite fond of making videos and it became apparent that he was dealing with a deviant after one entitled 'Man V Food: Power lines'. He joined up with a squad of hunters, started wearing tactical armour and carrying small arms before he knew it he was just another grunt.
Brandon tracked Jayson down to Sacramento but was kidnapped before he could make contact with him. He was put in a cell along with another prisoner and forced to drink her blood as part of some sort of experiment, the blood by itself did nothing and they spent their time together imagining what they would do if they got out. One week as they were forcing him to drink he casually remarked that perhaps they could put the blood into solution instead of giving it to him straight, his logic was that anything was better than this. The serum they create worked, a little too well as it gave him superhuman strength, stamina, dulled him to pain and heighten the rest of his senses. He killed everyone in the lab and led the attack as they escaped, but then he collapsed as the effects wore off. He was awoken by the prisoner whose blood he had been ingesting and together the pair of them left the facility before disappearing into the night.
Is there anything else we need to know?
He no longer holds any ill will towards Jayson and has acknowledged that it was his fault that things happened the way they did. That being said they are not friends.
