Jayce is capable of freely turning his body into smoke. In addition to transforming his own body, Jayce is also able of changing light objects into smoke as well, such as his cloths. So far Jayce has been unable to change anything weighing over five pounds into smoke.
Do they have any notable weaknesses?
In terms of his powers, Jayce's biggest weakness is water. While wet Jayce is unable to change his body from a solid to a gas base form. It is also worth mentioning that if Jayce becomes wet while in his smoke form , he will return to his solid form. Needless to say Jayce does not care for rainy days. Aside from water Jayce is also at the mercy of strong winds. Though he can control his movements in his smoke form he becomes less sturdy so a strong enough gust could ruin his day.
What is their personality like?
Jayce is selfish , greedy, uncaring, a loner, untrusting, particle and efficient. In short Jayce is only looking out for Jayce.
What is their backstory?
Well before the Deviants became known to the public's eye, the US military operated a small task force comprised of Deviants known as Laughing Skull. This squad of Deviants was tasked against missions considered impossible but they always succeed and Jayce was a part of that squad. Jayce was never the best member of Laughing Skull nor was he the worst however he had proven to be a good soldier. Due to his powers Jayce was often assigned the role of scout, infiltrator, or assassin. Sure the job was hard and Jayce was forced to bloody his hands at times but it was either serve his county or be locked away by the government.
Even though Jayce didn't have a problem with Laughing Skull the same couldn't have been said for his fellow squad mates. One day several of the Deviants working with him decided to fight against the government. The fighting became fierce but Jayce decided not to select a side so he left. During the commotion, Jayce was able to slip away as he always does. Jayce was no longer the military's lap dog but he also lacked focus. With no real goals in mind, Jayce returned to his life of thievery. Jayce has been known to take part of dirty jobs as long as the money is good. In the end Jayce's only goal currently in life is to look after Jayce.
Is there anything else we need to know?
Jayce is a chain smoker and has been known to dabble with drugs. When Jayce transforms into smoke the smoke was originally white but due to his heavy cigarette use the smoke has turned black. Jayce is military trained and knows how to fire a few fire arms but he's not too fond of most guns since they are typically to heavy for him to change into smoke when he activates his powers.
