Simply put L does not have any defining personality traits. L is best described as an actor because L changes his/her personality depending on situation and the persona he/she is dawning. Like the wind L can be very unpredictable; one moment L can be bubbly waitress and in the blink of an eye L can become a cold blooded hitman. Its all a performance for the cunning L.
What is their backstory?
L's origins are currently a mystery, which L is desperately trying to uncover. The only thing L recalls about his/her past is waking up under the wreckage of a destroyed laboratory. The lab was set ablaze and seemed to be abandoned. Judging by the condition of the lab there seemed to have been a huge fight that broke out. L managed to escape the lab but any personal items or medical records to indicate L's actual identity went up in smoke that night. At first the pressure was too much for L to bare. Sure L had the ability to wear other people's faces but he/she could not even recall his/her own. Without any idea of his/her own name L decided to start calling him/herself by the name of L because the only personal item L had was silver pendent tied around his/her neck that that was the shape of the letter L. Since that tragic night L has vowed to find out the truth about his/her identity no matter the cost.
