Brandon Russell
Brandon hadn't really though too much about the card itself but realised that it would probably be important in the scheme of things. If you were going to have a calling card it needed to be as bad a** as the rest of you. "Yeah, that would be so dumb." He was already designing it in his head, black on black with a purple skull, wait no.. Iridescent purple! People didn't need to read it to know who it was from, they just needed to see the cool a** skull to know his handiwork. "Yes well, live and learn. Perhaps I was a bit too eager to undress for strangers. Probably some sort of deep psychological issue there." He was making surprisingly good progress down the corridor all things considered, one foot after the other, pulling himself along by the walls and desperately trying not to slip or collapse. "Did I?" He asked, honestly surprised by the notion. "And you all went with it?" Slightly more surprising all things considered, he's have thought at least Olivia would have pointed out how silly that idea would have been. "Well lets try optimism for a bit. I think I might have a small amount of drain bramage." He joked to himself, finally reaching the door to the stairwell. He held open the door as he surveyed the way up, an explosion rang out but considering the number of explosions they'd been hearing since their breakout it wasn't that out of the ordinary.

Brandon Russell
"Nah, hold role playing things where you pretend to kidnap college kids and they get to paintball their way out." Brandon replied with what would probably be considered the best idea he'd had for a long time. It had formed as a joke but had the potential to be a good money maker. He made his way up the fiery stairs to the now blown out door. His intention had been to sneak into the doorway but sadly the doorway and everywhere around the door was on fire, and while he was sure said fire would go out on it's own eventually, he wasn't sure how long that would take. He looked at Alison and brandished his gun, nodding as if to say 'This is my plan'. If moments ago he had had his best idea for a long time, this was certainly one of his worst. He took two steps back, ran three steps forwards, forgot to jump or at least timed it very poorly and emerged from the burning corridor all eyes on him, slightly ablaze. "Right here, a*****e!" A part of him really wished he had thought all of this through a lot more, or at the very least, though of a cool one liner. He raised the gun, a mixture of inexperience, fatigue and stress guiding his hand. Boom! He fired the gun at the captain, hitting him in the arm. Honestly it was pure luck he'd even hit but encouraged by his own ability fire a gun, he went to take another shot. At which point he was riddled with bullets and fell backwards onto the deck, it had been such a silly plan in hindsight. Not just this with the gun, it had been one mistake after another. Too bad all it took was dying to put his life into perspective. He tried to look for Liv but gave up as dark patches filled his eyes, he wanted desperately to apologise for leaving her, but the words wouldn't come out. In the end he didn't hate the people who shot him, or the situation he'd been in, he regretted life he'd led and things he hadn't done.

Marcus Wells
Marcus didn't remember the blast. He was rushing forward one moment and the next he was on the ground, smoke in the air and fire licking the ground. He saw Liz first and his old friend captured second. s**t. Marcus still had the pistol. It had been knocked from his grip but he grabbed it again before the smoke cleared. He was slower without his powers but still faster than the average bear. Marcus locked eyes with the pirate captain- the man was beaten but not broken. "Sorry about this, mate." He put on a bit of an accent he didn't have before, probably part of some lie between Marcus in the captain. "Just like Bermuda?" The pirate captain's brow furrowed, he looked towards the gun aimed at him, and then back at Marcus. He shook his head. They needed a distraction to pull a Bermuda.
Then it came.
Brandon, the madman, emerged and fired his gun into the captain's shoulder. The guards turned their weapons on Brandon and riddled him with bullets, lots of bullets, too many bullets. Four guards, arguably powered, against two girls and two men now that Brandon was being shot down. Everyone was shooting at him and not Marcus so the speedster surged forward. The pirate captain was smart, rising quickly and slamming his body into the armored guard beside him while Marcus closed the distance between him and the other armed guards.
They turned their weapons on him and pulled the trigger but each heard nothing more than a depressing click to indicate they'd run out of bullets. They moved to reload and Marcus started shooting. Two quick shots to the head caused the armored guard's necks to snap back. The bullet did not penetrate but the force hurt them all the same. Marcus closed the distance and slipped his gun under the mask of the first guard, blowing his brains into his helmet before Marcus abandoned his gun and grabbed the guards. He fired two rounds into the guards beside him before pulling the sea man's body close to use as a shield. Most bullets would penetrate the standards human, but Marcus was not using the standard human, he was using an armored human as a shield while he fired into the other guards, hoping the girls would use the chaos to win them the advantage. The pirate captain certainly did, savagely beating down on the guard he'd overpowered the moment he had the chance,

Olivia's mind raced as she lay frozen on the ground, staring down the barrel of a gun. The last she had seen Alison and Bradon was outside the Captain's room. Were they still there? Even if they knew Marcus and she had been caught how would they get them out of this mess? Maybe Liv should make an attempt to rush the captain. It seemed like the guards weren't allowed to kill them, but was she willing to stake her life on it? Was she willing to risk being captured and experimented on again if she didn't go for it? Better dead than a science experiment.
She was vaguely aware of Marcus speaking in an accent he didn't have a minute ago while her mind raced like an out-of-control hamster ball falling down the stairs. Something about Bermuda? "If the next thing out of your mouth isn't-" Olivia would never know how the Captain's threat towards Marcus was going to end. What happened next would make r/Abruptchaos proud.
"Right here, a*****e!" Brandon came charging through the door. Gunfire rang out as bullets riddled his body. "s**t. s**t s**t s**t." Liv's wide eyes went from Brandon, laying on the ground dying, to the Captain, who was jabbing a finger on his wrist band and back to Brandon again. "If you die I'm going to kill you!" She informed Brandon before charging at the Captain. Wide-eyed, the captain turned to run while the other guards had their hands full with Marcus and his pirate friend. He only made it a few steps before Liv collided with him, tackling him to the ground from behind. The two wrestled on the ground, Liv pulling his hand away from the computer on his wrist, while she worked her legs to pin him down. She wasn't about to let him shock them all again. Bullets zipped through the air above.
A desperate struggle for the bracelet ensued. One she would have surely lost without Marcus and the Pirate Captain keeping the guards distracted. The logical thing would be for the guards to stop Liv, but as most people would do, they shot back at the people shooting at them. After what seemed like ages, but was only seconds, Liv managed to pin down both of his arms with her legs. From there, things became much easier. The screen was cracked, lines radiating from where Bardon's bullet had lodged in the screen. That explained why he couldn't shock them all before Liv tackled him. There was another button. "Release all."
Olivia pushed it.

Marcus Wells
There was probably ten seconds between Olivia pushing the button and all the chaos coming to a sudden stop. In the first three seconds, the collar restraining Marcus popped off and fell onto the floor. In the fourth second, Marcus felt his speed return to him. He looked around the room at the remaining guards and the bullets flying. His pirate friend had already taken two shots to the chest by the time the collars came off and Marcus had three bullets moving very slowly through the air towards him now. They would have hit him if Olivia hadn't pressed the button in time... but she did.
In the fifth second, Marcus stood up and moved away from the path of the bullets. He walked over to the guards and very gingerly twisted their heads. In the remaining seconds he took their guns, ammunition, and anything he thought was worth stealing and tossed it. It hung in the air beside him while he walked over to Liv and the pinned captain. He kicked the captain in the head, and then he waited for the world to catch up.
From Liv's perspective suddenly all the guards necks snapped, including the captains, and their equipment fell to the floor. The pirate captain fell backwards, having been shot to death and Marcus stood beside her. "Good job."
