Long passes of time are recorded according to the switch of Head Arcanists; of course excluding the first two eras where there were only gods and the third era which was ruled by dragons. Each β€œEra” represents the Head Arcanist’s reign. We have recorded the large events of each era, those documents are safely kept in the Central Athenaeum and there they shall remain for all eternity.

Middle range passage of time is measured in centuries and decades depending on the measurement needed. Each eon will be accompanied by two numbers, one is for the amount of centuries have passed, and the second is for the amount of decades that have passed. For example, in the 3rd Era, the creation of Acal and Azier is noted as 3:0:0 in the archives. This is because it was the third era, but not centuries nor decades had passed. Another example could be 4:3:08, this being the date that Asule published the First Tome of the Gods. Each time the second number in an Era Date reaches nine, it will become zero in the next decade and the century number will raise by one.

The shortest measurements of time include single years, months, and days. Years are still measured by number but months and days are documented by name. A list of the names of the months and days are listed below:
The Names of the Months in Order of Occurrence:
Azrix
Shelis
Rezix
Ariel
Kryon
Vion
Mayer

The Names of the Days in Order of Occurrence:
Reigon
Miron
Shiron
Azrion
Kyrion
Calrion
Zachrion

Naming the days is a tradition that started after the fourth Era, as it was Asule’s idea to refer to the days passing in an organized manner. However, the names of the months have been a relatively new addition to the telling of time. It was Saphrie, actually, who suggested it. She had made a case in front of a gathering of Arcanists. The Head Arcanist of the time had told the congregation that it was simply too inconvenient to refer to the seasons. For she said, β€œIf I were to ask when a certain event occurred, I may get Arton as an answer. We have been use to this, but I have noticed that it is not uncommon to misunderstand what part of the season it is. Discussions have become far too long when two or more individuals try to clarify whether an event happened when it was nearer to Sapen or Arton. So I would like to create a β€œmonth” system. There will be seven months, of which would need to be named, with each month having fifty-six days within it. This leaves the year with an equal three hundred ninety-two days.” The vote had a near unanimous call for immediate implementation of the plan.
