DOUBLE ROLLING BONANZA

Reisio and Oisier finished their dance. Feeling refreshed, if not a bit sweaty, Reisio was ready for a good scare. It was a genius technique to force participants to become stimulated and aware of their surroundings. Perhaps hyper-aware to react more intensely to frights and spooks!

They wandered down the rooms into another section - the medical one, it seemed - on the way to the lighthouse. "Oh my, did we go backstage? I didn't know this would be dangerous, but there is enough blood here for a transfusion if we need it." They commented.

The two shifted out of the section and into the lighthouse very shortly.

11. There are broken glasses on top of what looks like a journal opened up to a page. If you decide to flip through them, the words eventually die out, replaced by splatters of something that smelled foul.

"Oh, some glasses! Hmm. What happened here, do you think?"

They flipped through the pages and their sniffnode wrinkled. "Gross. Someone musta had to run to the respiteblock or something."

"I respect the preparedness." Oisier nodded. They slowed to a stop as Reisio paused to flip through an old journal. They peered over their twin's shoulder.

"What does it sa- oh, ew." Oisier's grimace matched Reisio's as the pair withdrew from the offending smell. "That is a disgusting theory. Then so too is the smell..." Oisier pulled Reisio along by the hand. The more distance between them and the icky journal, the better.

As they continued, Oisier noticed a faint noise overlapping, then overtaking the sound of their footsteps. It sounded like the beeping of the heart monitors they'd seen used on TV. Oisier looked around curiously. They were stumbling across an awful lot of medical implements, but no defined reason for their presence. Perhaps this noise indicated the source.

"I believe someone is injured, or sick," Oisier commented. The beeping increased in volume and tempo as they advanced down the hallway. "And very afraid on top of that." They resisted the urge to clamp their hands over their ears, instead favoring to continue holding Reisio's hand.

By the time they reached the next door, the sound was practically deafening. Oisier half expected the door to be rattling. Their trepidation in continuing stemmed half from anticipation of what could be on the other side, and half from fear their eardrums would blow. They mustered their determination and pushed the door in with their free hand.

The beating ceased with a piercing flatline as Oisier peered cautiously into the next room.

5. Every step in this room is creaky and the lights are dim. There is an unpredictable thwump every few minutes.

7. The next room has a flickering light over a corpse on an operating table speckled with blood. The next time the lights flicker, the body is gone!

In an attempt to put as much distance between him and whoever it was with the chainsaw, Deimos found himself in a bathroom. Well... he might as well take a breather there while he had one. The creepy toys sitting on the back of the toilets were not exactly easy to ignore though... He withdrew his hand with a snap as the toy's beak clacked shut. This wasn't going to be a good place for a breather after all.

As the beeping stopped, Reisio's mouth disappeared almost entirely. Their little teeth poked out of a tiny line that emmited a slight "meep" noise.

"O-Oisier! Let's go back to that stinky place. I think I dropped something." They announced, and tugged on their twin's hand. Reisio lead Oisier back, back to the room they'd previously ventured through. This was familiar, and safe. Good! Good-ish. Still very stinky.

Oisier squeaked as their intense concentration was cleaved by their twin's sudden backpedaling. Oisier didn't feel a particularly biting need to see what was in the next room in the first place. Together the bluebloods scurried back down the hall towards the smelly journal. A tactical retreat.

"Hm, yes. I believe there must be a better, ah, a more efficient route than... Than that one," Oisier supplied. Their hand had completely intersected with Reisio's. Their connection was secure and not at all capable of registering how clammy their palms were becoming.

"Such as- such as this way!" Oisier tried to sound more motivated than relieved as they spotted another door half-obscured by the atmospheric shadows. They took a step towards the (other) next room only for the door to slam open. A whistle blew (or did Oisier just scream), and bear mascots started spilling out from behind every door and piece of furniture. Where had they all been hiding!?

"R-REISIO!" they yowled as the pair was squashed into each other at the eye of the ursine hurricane. Something warm and wet smeared across Oisier's cheek, only causing their volume to escalate.

"AAAAAOOIIISIIEEER!" The horrible bear hugs would continue, and haunt Reisio's brightmares for days to come. They found themself sputtering and gasping for breath, even when the bloody ursine creatures had left them both alone. Snatching at their twin's arm, Reisio pointed towards what they considered to be an 'exit' and beckoned them to follow.

They were moving so fast that they hardly noticed what could have been a very expensive statue falling over behind them. Whose scream was that? Oisier? 'We'll cover the costs!' thought Reisio, thinkpan whirling.

Oisier was panting too hard to scream properly. Instead they raggedly focused all their efforts on keeping pace with Reisio (easy) and making it to the end of the hive (much harder). Shadowed faces of stone trolls whirled past. As long as they weren't more bears, Oisier would accept it. They weren't so accepting as to stop running, however.

Just as Oisier had begun to run out of breath, they realized perhaps the most frightening development. From equal parts exhaustion and concern, their slowed their steps and examined their surroundings. Trays. Syringes. Blood bags.

"R-reisio... I b-believe we've gone in... in a circle," they said, trailing off into disbelieving silence.

Exiting the bathroom and heading down the hall, he passed by a window just in time for something to fall right outside. The sound it made when it landed was a little... heavy... for something inanimate. Grimacing, he tried to peer out of the window, guessing it might have been a troll. Alas, he couldn't see anything. Where was the exit in this hell hive anyway? He wanted to go back to his own hive already.

"Good work, soldier!" Scorpa clapped alongside the other sirens at Makkah’s arrival. They were on the move, working all the different parts of this spectacle but tried to make it to the end of the course to congratulate those who made it! It was fun to get to actually see the trolls going through.

"Your persistence was legendary." She reached into her coat to pull out a second badge to pin beside the one Flydra had just give Makkah. Scorpa wore a bright and brash circus ringleader’s costume, to go in line with her Haunted Toy Store. She liked the militaristic feel of the coat’s design.

"Enjoy the after party!" Scorpa exclaimed, gesturing to the nearby tables with chairs along with a table of refreshments. There was plenty of candy for a quick sugar pick me up!

The next hallway lead back into the hospital theme. He groaned aloud this time, eyes rolling. How did this keep happening? He really should've been keeping track of what paths he'd been taking- surely then he'd be able to avoid this place. As he passed by a counter he knocked over some tubes, wincing as they crashed to the ground. Whoops....

Mihail had wanted to come with Knetic, but his friend was more interested in other things. That was fine, the purpleblood didn't have to do everything with him. He was definitely more interested in meeting the hosts of the party than actually going through the haunted hive they'd set up, though. That he really would prefer to do with another person.

The party itself definitely spoke to who the hosts were- it would be impossible to forget who ran the place with all the merchandise set up in convenient places. He considered getting some himself, but decided against it. He'd come to find out more about the JROTC, that was it. He picked up one of their pamphlets and began to read intently, occasionally looking up to see if any of them were around. Would they be too busy to talk about the program, though?

Wrigglers. Deimos wasn't all that creeped out by them in horror settings, but he didn't like the idea of being locked in a room without having seeing them. Were they even wrigglers, or just... other things using wriggler-like voices? He decided staying in this particular room was not the best idea and attempted to exit through the door that had just slammed.
