[PRP] Playing under the waterfall.. (Cei x Asali'moto)

Cei smiled as he turned his face up to feel the warm sunlight on his fur, he could hear the roar of the waterfall nearby. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go swimming but playing under the trees in the area would be nice. He looked around to see if any of his siblings were about. Cei had never known his father and his mom was always busy with work. He didn't really mind he had the rest of the pride and he had his siblings to play with him. He smiled and rolled about in a pile of palm leaves laying below one of the trees and closed his eyes.

Asali'moto followed after his brother, debating between making his presence clearly known, and practicing his stalking skills.

Deciding that it would be sligjtly more fun to see if he could sneak up on Cei, he slunk low to the ground (although he was far less sneaky than he thought he was - his belly kept brushing the ground, causing small rocks to crunch together, and while quieter than usual, his footfalls were far from silent. Additionally, as he walked past a rather scrubby bush, the tip of his tail hit a large leafy branch, causing it to crash loudly against its fellows.)

In his own mind, however, he was a master hunter, stalking his hapless prey as it dozed in the shade of a palm tree, unsuspecting of its fate.

He crept closer, barely restraining a childish giggle, before attempting a pounce, accompanied by a (rather pitiful) attempt at a roar.

Cei didn't hear much over the roar of the waterfall, it wasn't till he heard Asali'moto's roar that he noticed he was about to me pounced on. He giggled as he watched his brother coming towards him. He made no move to try to dodge since he was laying on his back and kind prone to begin with. Besides Cei figured he would be able to get Asali back later for tackling him. Cei giggled and tried to roll Asali over so he could get the upper paw in their play battle.

Asali mock growl-laughed as he was flipped to his back, squirming to regain the advantage (although he smiled the whhole while). He was a fearsome hunter, not to be denied, after all!

He was more glad, however, that his brother was willing to play along, rather than being annoyed by the game.

Batting at Cei gently with one small paw, Asali squirmed harder, determined not to get pinned quite as easily as he'd been flipped!

(Considering I just noticed it was my turn my fault too >.< no big XD we will get it done sooner or later xD)

Cei mocked growled and smiled right back having so much fun with his brother, he knew he couldn't match Asali in strength and that was ok. Cei would figure out what he was good at when he got older and that didn't bother him. He gave up ground in the game so Asali could gain the upper paw again. "Want to go swimming?" He asked as he wiggled to get out from his fighting match with Asali.

Finally flipping Cei back over, Asali was panting with exertion...but also grinning hugely. When Cei seemed to give up beneath him, and then spoke, Asali hesitated, then nodded. "Sure!" He replied, a mischievious smile flitting across his face as he bent down, swiping his tongue across his brother's cheek before tearing off toward the water, laughing the whole way.

Not even stopping to look first, the darker green cub leapt into the water with a disproportionately large splash, finally turning, small paws paddling easily, to look back at his brother.

Cei laughed as Asali won the play fighting match and he laughed again when his brother licked him and ran off towards the water. He hurried after him to try to catch up. He didn't mind if he lost though because it wasn't important who won or lost. Cei just enjoyed being with his siblings since his mom had so much work to do whatever that work happened to be. He didn't know what that work was and the rest of the pride didn't seem to be in any hurry to tell him the answer to that question. His siblings were so smart and amazing surely they would figure it out someday. Cei was happy just being him, he wasn't in a major hurry about anything. Well except for trying to catch up with his brother racing to the water. The lighter green cub jumped into the water after his brother moving more slowly through the water at more of a doggy paddle than a strong stroke. He was still smiling brightly even if he wasn't the best.

Laughing as the water from Cei's leap into the water hit him in the face, Asali used one paw to splash at his brother, before bobbing his head back under the water, which pushed the fur that had been hanging in his eyes out of his face. Something about his sibling's easygoing, cheerful personality made him feel almost...protective, even though they were the same age.

Stretching his toes down to the bottom of the pool, he used it to push upwards, bumping into Cei with another laugh.

"C'mon, Cei, let's swim to the other side so we can go exploring!"

Cei laughed and shook the water from his eyes, only making his problem worse and making it harder for him to see but he was having so much fun that he really didn't care that he couldn't see everything. The world a blur of green and browns. Cei swam as hard as he could to get to the other side so he could go exploring with Asali. "What do you think we will find over there?" He asked his tone curious and jolly. He was excited to see what they might find so he could tell their other siblings about their adventure. He made his way to the other side and looked around. He saw a small cave and peeked his head in before ducking back to wait for Asali to take the lead.

Scrambling up the opposite bank after his brother stopped to shake out his fur, sending water droplets flying in every direction before bounding after Cei when he noticed that the other cub had hesitated, and was peering into what looked like a small cave.

"Who knows?" Asali replied, grinning - the expression joyous, with the slightest bit of mischief. "It wouldn't be much of an adventure if we knew what we'd find!"

When Cei made no move to enter the cave he'd found, Asali bumped his shoulder against his brother's, affection obvious. "Want me to go in first, or would you rather lead?" He asked after a moment, practically vibrating with excitement.

Cei laughed when the water droplets from his brother hit him and he shook out his own fur to dry himself as well. He nodded and then sighed with relief when Asali offered to go first into the cave. "You can be the leader." He said with warmth and affection.  

[Vashtya]

Asali's grin broadened, a white flash of teeth gleaming brightly. "Okay!" He replied, squirming his way through the smallish opening and looking around inside with wide eyes. The cave was not particularly huge, and stalagtites hung down from the ceiling, low enough that his small mane amost brushed against the lowest-hanging one.

The cave was large enough to impress the small cub, but not so large as to be likely to house anything dangerous, and while there were some crevices small enough to stick a paw, or nose in, there were no passageways to tempt the pair into potentially getting lost.

"C'mon, Cei!" He called back over his shoulder, leaping up to bat at the low-hanging stalactite curiously. It even smelled different in here.

Cei looked up at the stalactites hanging from the ceiling, they made him think of big monster teeth, he didn't think he would have had the courage for this adventure if Asali hadn't been there. He followed his brother into the cave and grinned. Cei's eyes got really big when he saw his brother batting at the thing that looked like a tooth. "What if it's a monster tooth and doing that makes the monster wake up??" Cei whispered. Looking about nervously.

Asali stopped, both paws still braced on the large stalactite as he craned his head around to look at Cei curiously, clearly pondering this. "If so, then it's already too late, I guess." He said after a moment, a slight quaver the only indication that he might not be quite as brave as his words indicated.

Visibly shaking off the uncertainty, he dropped back down onto all fours. As he did so, a breeze picked up outside, and a low, keening moan echoed through the cave, eerie and unnerving.

Asali froze, wide eyes looking at his brother. "W-what do you think that was?!" He got out after swallowing, the words a panicked whisper.

Cei's eyes were wide as well "I I I don't know but let's go home..." he said fearfully... "Come on Asali let's go home!!" He said over his shoulder as he ran back towards home.
