The Parents:

Two wanderers who bumped into each other and a night of magic happened.
Laena, though proud to be a mom, still doesn't quite know what to make of the father of her children, Zèklè.
Though both can be characterized as 'sweet bums', the spark they had may or may not end up re-sparking.
Zèklè will still be around. Although a bit in and out, he loves his cubs and is committed to raising them.
(aka we're working on it!!)

The Siblings;
The cubs were all born at night during a thunderstorm!
Their life for a while was a convenient cave that Laena still calls home.

Ziva would have been the clingiest of cubs. the one always looking for approval from her older siblings, and doing all she could to make them proud.
As an adult, she has separation issues, and does not like to be alone without at least ONE sibling nearby.

The 4th born of the cubs, and the only one who ended up without his father's lightning bolt!

How does he feel about this, if at all?
How does he get along with the rest of his family?
Keep in mind, he will have been very well-loved by Laena who has put her heart and soul into raising her babies right!

The Eldest



The Firstborn of the cubs, she was probably the one tasked to watch her siblings when Laena went out to hunt!

How does being firstborn affect her, if at all?
Does she welcome the responsibility, or was being in charge the Absolute Worst Thing Ever?

Only a Rumble...
Lion's Name: Hadad - Hadad is the Syrian name of the God of rain and storms. The literal meaning of Hadad is ‘thunder’.
Short Personality: He loves his family and sticks out for them no matter what.
Thoughts on his Bolt-less rump?: Nope, not at all. He's just like the rest of his family.

Only a Rumble...
Lion's Name: Ramman - Akkadian name of a Babylonian/Assyrian god of storms. The literal meaning is "thunderer".
Short Personality: While an outwardly hearty, even-tempered and easygoing lion, Ramman has a closet need to be needed that must be validated by others.
Thoughts on his Bolt-less rump?: As a cub, missing the lightning bolt mark that his siblings shared bothered Ram greatly. I'm not sure the personalities of the other cubs, but I'm sure there would have been at least some teasing of the odd one out - kids will be kids, after all - and this would have bothered him a great deal.

After a talk with Mom or Dad (or both?) towards adolescence, he would slowly begin to get over his insecurity over his lack of lightning with the thought that he can distinguish himself in other ways. He would take the inspiration for these other ways from Laena, resolving to make himself just as indispensable to his siblings as she was. He would try to establish himself as hardy, tough, impassable, reliable - and every time they needed him, Ram could count this small power over his marked siblings as a victory.

As an adult, however, those little victories aren't really good enough anymore. Most of his siblings are more independent in their adulthood, and while he would be willing to tend to those that are not, Ram would once again become infrequently bothered by the prospect of being "stormless". He may begin to strike out on his own, perhaps a bit impulsively, searching for that feeling of being valued once again.

Lightning Before Thunder!
Lion's Name: Enelysion - Greek; a place struck by lightning.
Short Personality: Enelysion always has a bright smile for those she loves, and is almost aggressive in her compassion; she might actually be a little too quick to push what she thinks is best.
Thoughts on Firstborn Responsibilities?: Nene tried her best to look after her siblings. She really did! That her mother trusted her to do so was an honor, and it would serve to teach the little lioness never to shirk on responsibility. But there were just so many of them. And they were so often rambunctious, or refused to listen, or did things that she knew Mom wouldn't approve of... And it was in those times that her siblings learned that this lady of lightning had a monstrous temper. Even though it was unleashed out of love, and Nene would doubtless do anything for her family, her tendency to the volatile would probably cause her siblings to think twice before engaging her.
