Oisin was getting a little self conscious about the fact that compared to everyone else, he seemed naked. Not know what else to do, he grabbed one of the paper buckets of food, and fork, and slid under a table to attack it. Dumping the food out, he quickly stabbed two eyeholes and examined his masterpiece. The bucket itself was pink and red. Just like that evil goddess herself. It even had some paper ruffle trim around the edges.
Satisfied, he shoved the bucket onto his head and blinked. He could see. So that meant his mask was made.
Now he needed something fancy to wear. Crawling out from under the table, he looked around. The only thing in here was tablecloths. And food. And a crap ton of decoration. What could he use....
Ah ha! He spotted it. Well, the pieces of it. Waltzing over to a smaller table, he ripped the tablecloth off. Fast. So as not to disturb the things. Then he ran for a wall, and grabs some flowers off of it. He grabbed a cup from the punch aisle.
When he was done, he had flowers threaded through his long, fabulous hair. A toga made of the pink monstrosity Venus used to cover her tables. And a fez. Well, a punch cup that was representing a fez.
He was fabulous. Any lady wouldnt be able to resist him.

Tirzah had spent a very enjoyable week! She'd spent lots of time with her new friends, Menahem and Rhoea, and although their relationship baffled her, they were both great fun. They'd told her so many things about the Great Tree, and she couldn't wait to see it for herself soon, as they'd both made several offers for her to come and visit. When Rhoea invited her to be his date for the masque, she was delighted to accept! Which left poor Menahem alone. Tirzah made a note to keep her eyes open for a cute guy to set him up with. There didn't seem to be many other Faun here at this party, which made sense, as Rhoea and Menahem had told her that they weren't technically supposed to have come. Hm. Well, she'd have to get creative, then.
Tirzah didn't often pay such attention to her appearance, but today it seemed to be a fun thing to do. She twisted her hair into a thick braid (the only style she knew how to do) and tied on her mask, which she'd borrowed from the resort. She was delighted by all the feathers! Her dress, which she definitely wasn't accustomed to wearing, was deep purple to match the mask, and clung to her body in ways that she knew would be appealing.
After entering the ballroom, her curiosity about the number on her hand was dispelled by seeing Rhoea. She gave a little wave and skipped over to him. "My, you look fancy!" she exclaimed appreciatively.
Pel was having a fabulous hair day. His hair had been curled into tight ringlets. It had been conditioned with nut butter until it glossed and shined. His dress, a slim fitted white bodice connected to a detailed,sequined flower and vine patterned loose fitting white skirt that came to his knees. He had a white feather boa, and his lips and eyes were lined and glossed to perfection.
He stayed barefoot because of many years before, he had discovered that stalking prey was quite difficult in heels. Shame. He had wondrous calves.
A simple string of pearls surrounded his lithe neck. And a white, pearled, very simple mask attached across his eyes.
He was, in one word, stunning.
He entered the ballroom with a flourish and wave of his dress. Yes. He felt splendid and he hoped his love appreciated the effort.

Vash noticed the gondola just as she was standing and hurriedly moved to open the door for her. "Please ... allow me" he told her still wearing his goofy grin before she could open it herself (or let a cherub do it). Once out he offered her his arm once more "Detour if you would like sustenance and perhaps see what festivities are around?" He led her towards the building taking in the surrounding decor.

Rhoea was brought back from his musings as he caught sight of a familiar lady heading over his way - my oh my did she look stunning! Just the sort of faunness to heal his weary heart. He returned her wave with one plus a smile of his own before taking a few steps to meet her. "Not as fancy as you - you're looking hella gorgeous tonight. I'm sure there's going to be more than a few jealous I got to you first." He was decidedly refraining from looking around for his wingman-turned-lover as he smoothly swiped a pair of drinks from the tray of a passing cherub.
Looked like wine - good call.
"They say the wine here is made by Europhosyne herself - I dunno about all that, but like, it's way better than what comes out of even Kekomura. Hella good." He handed the glass to her before immediately taking a drink himself - he had a feeling he'd need one or two to fully get his mind into the moment and get the evening started. He offered an arm to her before starting to walk around and make conversation. "How has the day been treating you?"

Azure floated into the ball she had one a floaty purple dress and a purple and white mask. She looked around the room and floated over to the lovely ice carvings. She could hear the cherubs playing. She sighed it was so lovely.

Shimmer hadn't gotten a chance to meet back up with the pae who had spilled the food on her. She had been tired and fell asleep after her shower. She figured she would apologize if she ran into them at the ball. She was wearing a short pink dress and a cat mask. She went out on the dance floor to dance by herself for a bit.

Toby had parted ways with Na but he hoped to see her again at the ball, he was dress in a blue-green top and was wearing a turtle mask. He looked around hoping to spot his new friend, then he made his way to the dessert table and grabbed a treat, and floated over to sit down to eat his cake. His tail moved about slowly as he listened to the light music playing in the room.

Lyros decided to go with a more humorous outfit for the party he was wearing all pink and wore a flamingo mask. He stopped in the front of the room as he entered he had been to quite a few Venus events but this one was pretty amazing with music and ice carvings. It took his breath away for a moment and then he started to move forward again.

Linda was meeting her husband in the ballroom, she had taken longer to get into her dress and get her wings the way she wanted them and her hair in place upon her head. She decided to send Philip on ahead of her, so she didn't bore him to death waiting for her to get ready. She was wearing a long silver dress and she wore an elaborate mask. Once she was ready she made her way to the ballroom to seek out her husband, she was looking forward to dancing with the love of her life.

Mouth full of apple, Mossy made a delighted noise as a feminine figure walked up and handed her a drink. Why yes! Drinks did go well with fruit. She took a swig to help her finish her snack, enjoying the flavor, but when she turned to thank the woman, she was already gone.
Oh well.
She'd said something about the dance hall? Curious, Mossy began to wander over to the dance hall, drink still in hand.

The week had flown by for Zhixuan. Most days she spent alone, perusing the resort's grounds. She had been hesitant to take advantage of the amenities, but had ultimately decided a day at the spa was exactly the type of preening she needed. Especially considering her nighttime activities, which she did not spend alone.
She couldn't have been more thrilled to have nabbed the very prize she'd come here for on her very first day. And he was an absolute pleasure. Most of their chemistry was physical, that was true, but Zhixuan genuinely enjoyed spending time with Feng Zhi, and the rapport they had, their sexy banter, was always great fun.
Now, Zhixuan was always prepared for a masquerade, and she had brought her own mask. She typically adorned herself with gold and sheer fabrics, and tonight was no different. However, she took everything up a notch, considering the company she was hoping to keep, and added even more jewelry. Necklaces, bracelets, armbands, anklets, earrings, rings, hair decorations, even a jeweled belt to hold up her gauzy skirt. Zhixuan positively shone in the light, which is precisely what she wanted. And, her secret weapon: a gold, perfumed cosmetic powder, which she used incredibly sparingly, which would make her dark skin sparkle and added a subtle scent which would only be detected by her and anyone who got quite close. She brushed it onto her collarbones and wrists. She was ready.
Zhixuan scanned the room for her dawn sun as she entered the party. She wasn't thrilled about the number on her hand, as it distracted from her look, but she didn't do anything more than grumble. Stomach rumbling, she headed for the food table and assembled a small plate of meats and sweets before taking a seat where she would have a suitable view of the entrance.
Jet hovered off from his two Granmas, acorn over his little head as his mask with half a broken twig still on the top. He looked pleased with himself as he made his way for the buffet table, most the plates and bowls looking bigger than he was. Still, that meant it clearly was a smorgegsboard for him!
Laughing, the teen wisp took a hand full of cheesy chips and shoved them into his mouth before taking a cup and dunking it in the punch. He smashed his head into his cup and sucked it down as if he were a drowning creature. Finishing with a loud "Aahhhhh" sound, he wiped his mouth, tossed his cup and looked around for the next treat.

Silini had whiled away the week, doing simply whatever it was that they fancied, and that suited them just fine. They'd played their mandolin for a small audience in the garden-type area, they'd partaken of the spa and hot spring, they'd eaten wonderful food. Their nights were sometimes spent alone, and sometimes spent with whoever was interested. It was an enjoyable time.
They weren't really the type to fuss over their appearance too much, but they did like to look nice. They brushed and tied back their hair, and donned a deep red drape almost--but not quite--the same color as their hair. Their mask they had made and brought with them. After some fiddling, it was apparent that it wouldn't change size with them, so they became Big size, so as to fit in best with the rest of the party guests, and tied the mask on. Satisfied, they made their way down to the party, and immediately hit the dance floor.
Linwilen had watched the other pae he'd run into earlier and shrugged, soon had the warmth items needed and anything else he liked and headed towards the main party. Later when the main doors opened he got his hand stamp and happily joined the other pae mingling randomly and listening to those around him while admiring the outfits

Boy, that week was rough. The choices were be cooped up in a room with his brother and 'cousin', basically confined to a friggin fishtank, or attempt to be out and about, still confined to the waterways (which, granted, were enormous and elaborate), and try to avoid his parents, Quetzal's dad and Aunt Xo, AND Zoran, his girlfriend, and Peaches. WHY were so many of his family members here??
Kadri had debated not going to the party, as there were so many people to avoid and they'd all be in one room, but the other option was to stay here in his fishtank, which would have made Sindri SO SMUG, and so he said ******** it and got ready.
Having had no idea that this was like a masked ball kind of thing, he hadn't brought anything with him. Luckily there were options for masks to borrow. The vast majority of the options were pink. Which, like, not his first choice, but Kadri was savvy enough to know that it'd actually complement his complexion. He spied one with a little music note detail--perfect! He tied it on and headed down to the party. Going downstairs through the waterways was actually quite fun, and once in the main ballroom he looked around for something to do or someone to talk to.

Apparently his bucket mask was less all seeing and more tunnel vision, cause the process of trying to get something to drink, he bumped into an odd acorn headed pae who looked ...eerily similar to him. Was this another one of Venus's crabs? Or was it a different thing Venus had trapped in her nether regions.
"You're not from venus's nether region, are you?" He asked, instead of hello. Honestly, that lady had him scared sh*less. "I heard it's rather disturbing there."

Oh he just wanted to die now. He nodded in response to question about being ok and and timidly took her hand to stand up. His face was deep red in embarrassment. Quest they should...Go sign in huh? He motioned over to lodge and waited for her to join him.

Jericho had been so embarrassed by his actions to Rainbloom that he had spent most of the week by himself and expected this dance to be more of the same. He had taken to a corner table for the dinner and sighed in his seat. He was dressed in a black tux with a white mask, one with a crescent moon upon it. Pretty simple. He wasn't trying to be seen really. He just couldn't stop replaying what he did to Rainbloom in his head over and over again. Someone who he could finally make a friend with and he blew it. Big time. He let out another big sigh and slam. His head hit the table, A passing cherub patted Jericho on shoulder in comfort which caused Jericho to let out a loud groan.

" 'If mom and dad find out' you mean you better start sucking up to me because I can just simply tell them you and your brother are here and they will believe me because Grandma Kel loves and trusts me." Oh she was playing dirty and she was so happy about it. She did stop and listen when he talked about Dysmas. Clearly this was something important that was weighing in his mind. "Look, it's the same reason why I come up to the surface and help my mom even though I don't have legs. I just like too. The surface offers difference things then the lake so I get to enjoy the best of both worlds." She kinda just shrugged. "You have to decide what makes you happy Sindri. If you like the surface better well...I could talk to my mom in seeing if you can't stay with her for a few months. She just moved but her yearly strawberry work is gonna start soon. Even if you don't like that work the village probably could use some help. I might be good for you if you feel this way to just try life up there for a bit." She wasn't took sure how grandma Kel would feel about that but with how Sindri was growing and changing it might be good for him.
Now what to do with the boys. "You two be good and don't caused trouble and I'll turn a blind eye to you being here. Seems fair to me." She was pretty sure that was their plan but she had to repeat it. Plus now they had her word she wouldn't tattle. Seemed like a good enough trade off to her.

As the week went on Peaches spent less and less time watching the boys and more and more time enjoying the vacation. She thought she had seen her parents but nahhh...Couldn't be them. Her mom was so excited to show her father around Breeheart that they made that into their yearly trip to relax. It was cool idea. It was nice to see how much her parents cared for each other despite the difficulties of having a land and water relationship. The call came for the grand ball dinner and Peaches had a problems. Dresses were hard to come by when you didn't have legs. She had worked with some of the Cherubs to get a dress that wouldn't make her look like a worm in a tub and they sorta succeeded. A soft pink gown that fell into a soft rose gold bottom to off set her bright natural colours. The group had even found a beautiful mask for her, that rose gold with soft pink feathers coming out of one side. Peaches felt beautiful. She entered the ballroom from the grand doors and was in aww. Whaoooo. Venus had gone so far out. She couldn't believe it. She started looking at the tapestries. She had heard stories about most of them. So the gods weren't hiding them from public view huh? She wasn't too sure what she wanted to do first. She gave a little spin as she made her way over to the food. It looked divine after all!
Kally let out a little squeal has Tugger's attention fully fell on her and not the little brat and picked her up. She laughed. "Oh let's us be off then. No need to wait now~" Oh how she loved this tom.

The week went by without many problems. Between the spa, the trails, and each other it seemed like the week just flew by. Kally had been super excited for this grand ball when it was announced and quickly got together a an elegant icy dress she could find with the most over the top mask she could find in short notice. Besides she didn't care about what others thought, just what Tugger did and he was almost as fabulous in his green feathered collared dress as she was.
Almost.
"Dearest Tugger, what shall we do first?" She pressed herself against him as they made their entrance into the new ball room. "I much don't care currently." They could be off to the side and throw insults at anyone underdressed for all she cared. Nothing was going to ruin her good mood for the moment.
