Dai's Post  "Ugh just go home already you already ruined it for, like, everyone last year when you crashed Uncle Kula's date. Like who's even watching the brat while you're here anyways? Does mom know you're here? She's gonna be mad when she finds out you know. And I keep telling you that you're not even gonna find this 'Night Terror' fellow anyways - he's got a pretty sus name anyways you think about it anyways" But for all the prickliness the twins hurled at each other, they were still tailing their other uncle in order to figure out how to get to the new Venus Day celebrations.
Naturally, Tanzanyt let herself in first to the gondola. She was the best, so it only made sense she would be first in line.
As she looked up, she let the thought pass her that they could have just flown up there on their own if they wanted - why weren't they flying anyways? First moms had made them walk all the way to Zamarad, and now this? It really just seemed so unintuitive how they did things at times here on the Isle. Actually, why hadn't she just gone back to the City now that she was an adult?
It was such profound thoughts that occupied Tanzanyt as she ignored her sister and they ascended upwards to the resort.
Purpuryt rolled her eyes as she listed to her sister whining for the nth time that day. Ugh does she ever shut up?
"Your the one who should go home. I had said months ago that I was going so your just being a whiny brat."
She had learned to ignore Tanz's whinging about her 'ruining everything' a long time ago since they other did it like every freaking day.
She really hoped this wouldn't end up like shit like last year, a horrible disaster! Honestly, she was nervous about going to this again but she really really wanted to see Night Terror again. Hopefully he decided to come again. She couldn't blame him if he didn't but it would be a very boring trip.
As they got on the gondola Pur looked out the window ignoring her whiny sister.
Daisicle Lets hope they don't kill each other on the ride up!
Gwyneira was pleased to find this mountain was indeed cold! Nothing made her feel more at home then a pleasant chill! Ah look at all these paeple in their sweaters shivering haha. Her feathers where all she needed to keep warm!
She looked around at the crowd that was attempting to get up the mountain. Hmm she supposed they where supposed to get on those lift things over there.
Buuut the naiads had water tanks! Oooh those tanks looked so refreshing! Nothing beat swimming in cold water! She was very much tempted to hop in. Ooh did that mean there was plenty of water for her to swim in at the top of the mountain?
With a pleased chirp she headed over to the water tanks and hopped in. Was it rude of her to just hop in ignoring a line and the fact that it was specifically for naiad type? Probably but there was nothing that was going to keep her out of the water! She loved it! Took to it like a duck to water one might say. (penguin really but that's not how the saying goes.)
Ah Snow! Cold air! Water! She was going to be living the dream!
[Gwyn is free! Roaming around the water ways unless someone wants to yell at her for hopping in the naiad tank-gondola]
Rainbloom was excited to see all the different pae! AH how cool! So many different pae! So many new friends!
Ahh they couldn't fly? That was a shame, Maybe she should get some sweaters for her wings then.
The Valkyr hummed as she thought to her self about what to get. She couldn't decided! Maybe it was best to just wait and see what they had at the gift shop to decided! Yeah that made the most sense.
Having figured that out she got in line and hopped onto the gondola when it was her turn.
She grinned at the other passengers.
"Hiya! I'm Rainbloom nice to meet you!".

Azurea had never been to a snowy place before so she didn't own any cold-weather things, she had to go and buy some cold-weather things before she was able to go to the gondela. She had gone to one of these Venus events before and it had been a lovely time till they were dropped into a maze by a very strange lady. Az hoped that wouldn't happen this time. She wanted to relax and meet some new pae and again try to find someone who would like her. She had been hoping for a connection last time but it hadn't worked out. Az rode the gondela up and went to check in to her room.

Toby didn't think he had been to one of these events before and he wasn't expecting snow, he was a water pae so cold and snow was not really his thing. He heard that there was a shop that he could buy cold-weather stuff, so that was what he did. He bought a tail warmer, gloves, sweaters. Then he boarded the gondola and went to check in to the hotel. He looked around curious what other pae would be at this event and what it would be like. He was floating not flying, since his tail didn't go anywhere there wasn't any other choice for him.

Lyros was dressed warmly he even had a pair on wing warmers on his wings, he did find it strange that there was no flying allowed but he wasn't planning to question Venus on her desision. He had gone to many Venus events and had yet to find love which made him sad, perhaps this would be his year and he would find the perfect pae for him. He took the gondola to the hotel and checked in. He smiled at the cherubs he liked seeing them every year they were cute little pae. Then he went to the buffet to get something to eat.

Shimmer Star was so excited to be going to this event, she was bundled up in a pink parka and pink snow boots she was a cute little pink ball of fluff. She went straight to the gondola to head up the mountain so she could check-in. She was so excited she was bouncing on her hooves. She went up to her room to put her things away and then she went back down to mingle and see who she might meet at this event. She was looking forward to skiing and sledding for the first time. She went to the buffet to get a plate of food to snack on.

Linda wasn't sure what Philp was thinking arranging for them to go to this Venus event it didn't seem like the right place for her to be but she could be wrong this could be the romance they hadn't had the time to have with all the things they had to work on. She was meeting him at the hotel where they would be checking in together. She was dressed in a warm dark blue coat and black boots. She had on a yellow sweater that was covered by her coat. She also wore black wing warmers. She found it odd there was no flying allowed. She took the gondola and waited in the lobby for her husband.

Vash had triple checked his appearance in the mirror before he left his home, he had to look his best. He wasnt wearing any extra jackets, however he had added a thick black scarf around his neck, the brochure had said to bundle up. And this was his idea of bundling up.
He arrived at the loading area for the gondolas his gaze looking from lady pae to lady pae with a silly grin. After a moment he sidles up next to a dark blue lady pae "Hello pretty lady, I ... Vash the Stampede will protect you on the ride up"
Dinglehopper in hand, Ariel hurried towards the water-filled gondolas, it was COLD and she wanted out of it. Life on land in this white stuff was colder then she was used to. She got into the first gondola the cherubs would let her into and settled in for the ride. Settling near the side so she could watch the ride up, she started to run her dinglehopper through her hair.
Skylie, decked out in her mother's warmest jacket and mittens, and with her mother's warning to be careful in mind steps off the gondola that she had gotten on with a bounce.
Checking in with those silly little cherubs she happily found herself at her first ever REAL party, sure she had gone to plenty of family events and a couple village celebrations, but she had been a child and noone ever took her as anything but that.
Still looking around in wonderment Skylie wanders quickly towards the buffet, she was distracted and wasn't watching her path.... She bumped into another teen "oops" she says with a giggle as she topples backwards onto her toosh looking up at the pae she had bumped into "sorry!" she told him still giggling
Kasharu had fashioned herself something of a warm cloak lining with the pelts of a few rabbits she had hunted, "Too damned cold" the rak said settling into the lineup to get onto a gondola and pulling the cloak tight around herself while letting out a breath of air, creating a puff of cloud.

Hibiscus hopped out of the gondola before it stopped and winced as the snow stuck her talons. Birds were not meant for this kind of weather. A shiver and another musical sneeze later, she was on her way toward the lodge.
Only to notice very bright and purple balls of very warm looking fire.
Wait. Were those.... she thought right as the purely warm and intoxicating smell of ... man hit her.
Her eyes widened a bit and her pupils shot to black for a brief second before returning to normal and her mother, the party, and the cold were all forgotten.
Back straightening, she marched over to the two, yes two, she couldn't believe there were two, fire birds. She adjusted her flower, and tamped her feathers down into place. She must look perfect after all.
Plastering on her most gracious smile, she reached them and gave a small curtsey. Her eyes however roamed the very warm boys freely.
"Boys!! Welcome to Venus Lodge. I am Hibiscus. Might I wonder of you needed a tour? Or perhaps a jacket? Or a massage?" She blinked as the last slipped out of her mouth and thoroughly blushed. She hadn't meant to say that.
Her eyes finally saw the other pae here before her and she barely held back a growl. Well, this was unfortunate. She would merely have to sway them to focus on her. Tho this particular pae seemed to have. .. attributes... that would make it hard.

Pel burst thru the door of the lodge with emphasis. His eyes determined, his stance very, very gay, he pranced toward the counter, shoving past the black rainbow pae that was already there, and smiled at the mellon.
"Pelagious. Checking in. Room for 3, darling. Well, we really only need 2. The cat prefers sleeping on a small rug " he waved a hand at the small pink cat behind him.
The afore mentioned cat had just made it in the door, however. Nodding at the mellons who retrieved the bags from her very sore tired hands, she stared at the blue devil with every ounce of venom. A rug?!?!
She marched toward her tormentor with intent. The intent of whooping his large, stupid, arse. Only to be held back by smaller hands. Turning to growl at her oppressor, she choked off that growl mid sound.
"There, there, pū" pelothos whispered, solemnly. He knew his father could be an a**. He had one focus in his entire life. And everything else just fell along the sides. It wasn't his fault. "Ya know he doesn't mean it." He said, eyes following the manic motions of his father.
Pu turned back towards the blue devil and snarled for a second before slumping with defeat. Yes. She did know he didnt mean it. Besides, she couldnt kill him out in the open. How would the gods react. This was a place of worship.
Eyes narrowing, she gave an evil smile. She would have to make him kill himself. That would absolve her of all guilt.
Pelothos stared down at the small pink cat in growing horror. What the fudge had he done. Hands slowly off the small pae and backing up, he nodded to the mellon his dad was talking to and said "3 rooms will be fine. The cat may like rugs, but beds are much more comfy."

Trailing behind the blue and pink group, Parker adjusted a bundled swath in his arms before moving to catch up to his brother. He was dressed similarly to his blue twin though he went the extra mile with another scarf, mittens and wing warmers and still managed to shiver. He only hoped he had made the little bundle at his chest warm enough. "Maybe I should have found someone to watch her... but then everyones here?" he asked, though mostly to himself as he pulled back a bit of cloth to eye the sleeping wisp child in his arms. He smiled softly, gently flicking one of her shadowy feather like antenna before tucking her back in. Venus day certainly wasn't a place for children but he wasn't going to be -that- father and leave her unattended either. Besides, maybe he'd find Erminae here again?
Though his concerns grew when Pelagios once again occurred the wrath of the tiny pink cat. Gulping, he whispered a silent thankyou to Pete as he handled it, nodding eagerly at the mention of three rooms. "Ah yes, A happy cat is a happy life.....ahaa......" he said again, holding Pyper closer, who now seemed to be awake and making grabby hands at the kitty.
"Puuuu, Puuuu!" she cooed, wiggling in the bundles, having been nice and comfy, now decided she needed a kitty snuggle companion. She wriggled free enough to flap her tiny wings in attempt to get down towards Pu was currently contained via the bundle backpack Parker had made for easy carrying of children. And then a large blue hand pushed her head back down and a cough echoed over her.
Krayyen was FREEZING her tail feathers off! Why she was here again after last year was beyond her but when she heard her sunset colored toy was coming back, well she fluffed her chest feathers, found as much warm clothing as she could and marched her way towards the majestic peaks of Venus.
Hah.
"Twwwwoooogggyyyyyyuuh!" she cooed loudly, latching on to her be-furred to-be-loved the moment she spotted his pinks below the impressive mound of furs. "Let me iiinn its so c-c-cold. I'm about to freeze my chicks off!" she squeaked again, latching on to him, every feather on her body fluffed up to make her look twice her size as she let out a soft, clacking chittering bird like purr.

Lyn was doing his best to look cool but he was positively more than just cool. He was COLD. Still, he wanted to look composed for his best bud. They had been coming here for years now, it all but seemed like some sort of tradition at this point. Still, what made Venus pick a snow covered mountain this time? "Hah yeah, very excited, though..." he paused to let out a breath to see the cloud puff out before his mouth. "Wonder whose gonna wanna snuggle up on a cold mountain. Even with my sweater and boots I'm still freezing!" he laughed, flicking his long curly tail which too had on a warmer that slinked about on it like a stuck snake.
"Remember what I told you!" Nightmare Moon hissed from the shadows, clutching a thick bundle of furs about her in an albeit regal fashion. Her usual flowing space mane and tail seemed more tame today, staying close to her body rather than floating about in everyone's personal space. "We are here.... to find minions worthy of subduing. Might I remind you... you are an.... unfortunate BUT perfect mix of utter chaos and.... emotional feasting." she paused, putting her hand against her temples and rubbing it as she glanced over at what she assumed was Queen Chrysalis. The ability to shape shift still unnerved the fauness of nightmares and she couldn't help but make a 'tch' sound.
"Night Terror... I'm counting on you, my son." she said again, eyeing the male before her who already seemed like he had zoned out.
Nightmare Moon growled.
"Sure thing Night Mother." NT said, indeed absent minded as he glanced around the crowed. It had been a while since he had saw Purpuryt. They were just teens the last time and he wasn't sure if she'd changed much getting older. Probably just more hotter.
Still.... he felt the near cold shriveled heart in his chest skip a beat when he caught sight of a familiar purple space like being duck into a gondola. "She's here!"
"What... No, Night Terror FOCUS!" Nightmare Moon hissed but he was already gone. "OH For Equestria's sake! Do I have to do everything myself?!" she growled, stomping a foot before turning back to Chrysalis. "He get's this from YOU!" she pointed accusingly.
"I can help Grandmother dearrest!!" a little voice chimed in as a tiny space like whisp fluttered over towards Nightmare Moon and buzzed annoyingly around her face. He grinned, diving in and out of her space hair before being swatted away.
"I thought I told you to leave THIS at home!" NMM hissed again.
Night Terror simply waved her off, he was already off towards Purpur. Once he had reached the Gondola, he coughed gently to announce his presence before giving a soft bow. "Purpuryt I assume? I wouldn't mistake that beauty and grace anywhere." he winked, flexing his wings to show off. If he was bothered by the cold, he was doing a good job of hiding all of it but the faint puff his breath gave off.
Jet sighed, crossing his arms as he was sent tumbling back in the air. He sat, hovering but cross legged, eyeing his bickering Grandmas and his clearly love struck dad over who he assumed was his.... mom? Ooooh should he follow? Oh but he wanted to be useful and find victims for Granightma and Granbugma. Curse the options!!!!
The tiny teen hovered a moment longer, glancing around at everything before deciding it was just too dang cold to fly anymore. He took a chance and landed on NNM's shoulder, enjoying her warmth and snuggling up to her cheek. It lasted a few brief seconds before he was swatted down into the snow. Sighing, he took to stealing a thing of fur off one of her ankles and wrapping himself in it, sticking his tongue out as he dodged her kick.

A flurry of the exact same thought rushed through a lone bunny's mind as she was quite forcefully dragged along to serve as the companion to a very scary sort of faun-hybrid for this year's mountain trip. On one hand, she normally would have found herself quite at home in the snowy scenery very quickly overcoming her field of vision, being bonded with a snow hare and all. On the other hand, she would have much rather come here on her own or with a pae she trusted.
The one who about had a vice on her movements was decidedly not that.
Killa dared not defy the very scary faun in front of her out of a prevailing sense of self-preservation. She glanced over at the other for a moment, wondering if she might be allowed to go home anytime soon.
She really wanted to go home. She didn't want to be here. She wanted to be comforted by Foxglove's headpats and to eat Bree's cookies and to be bothered by Peony's antics... Oh no, the poor bunny probably looked like she was about to cry, what with how warm her cheeks felt and how her bottom lip quivered.
Az'shta growled, her wings folded in on herself as her glowing green fired eyes glanced about. So many bodies, so little options it seemed though. She was glad she grabbed up the rabbit like fae before coming here. She'd be good leverage if not entertainment. "Stop fussing." she said again, taking the other by the hand and pulling her close, patting her on the head. "This place is for couples isn't it? Let's pretend. It will be sooooo fun!" she laughed wickedly, tugging the fae along towards the gondolas. "Is this a riiide? Oooohh!" she squealed again, almost like a child that never grew up.
Would Mommy and Daddy find these useful? Probably not but she wanted to see where it took them. Maybe it took them somewhere with a lot more useful looking beings!
Well, that grumpy space bug pair looked promising but also like they'd give Daddy a headache.
And she didn't see Feralheart or his disgusting lil waifu or any of their kids here either to appease mommy.
Blasted all she had to find something useful!
"Come come, sit sit." she said, shoving Killa into the gondola and taking a seat next to the fae.

Oh yeah, now this was great. With equal parts spunk and haughtiness, a very pumped-up Rhoea was walking quite close to his bro-in-arms as they decided to board the provided gondolas together. It was this faun's first time ever seeing the substance known as "snow" before, and he couldn't be more thrilled. "Bro, just look at this stuff. It's, like, white and cold. Hella cool man. Ya think Uncle Ranuin decided to tail me again this year - maybe on the lookout for that fae tail if ya know what I'm sayin'?" he needled while looking around.
Now, some might assume that a pair entering a goldola together to go to a "love resort" would imply some sort of cordial relations between the two.
Rhoea was not the kind of pae to realize such things, however much annoyance that provided to those around him.
"Like seriously Mena, this is heeeeeela sick. Not as sick as finding a couple of daemon girls is gonna be though. I'm tellin' ya man, they're really quite the exotic beauties - they're just so thin and light compared to faunesses you'd never believe it."

Another year, another chance for Hjortur to come and enjoy himself, this time with a lovely wife in hand. The same enteroge was attending from last time - Hjortur, Kel, their (step) great-grandchild (oh lord) Xoana, and his unexpected best friend of sorts Beltan. They'd left the kids back at home under the trusty supervision of Quetzal. Again, they were meant to be making sure the adult Xo didn't get herself into any excessive trouble, but things never went as expected at this place.
So honestly, Hjortur was kind of in a "******** it" sort of mood. He'd agreed to watch her with absolutely no intention of actually doing so. And with how she was very clearly oogling Beltan, he figured his friend would have no trouble doing the work all himself while the married couple enjoyed themselves elsewhere.
But also Beltan would clearly never cross that line... right?
Of course not.
He stretched his legs as the arrived at the top before offering a hand to Kel to help her out of the boat-esque thing that'd brought them up the mountain. For all he'd seen up to this point, this was new, even for him. "A bit chilly up here, wouldn't you say?" Strangely, however, he didn't feel his skin drying out - must have been all the water in the form of snow around them. How curious. He pulled out this year's pamphlet and began to read through it again. Having a decent level of proficiency in Common Script had its perks from time-to-time. "It appears there are outdoor activities, a spa, and the usual sort of indoor buffet fare... Do you have anything you'd like to try out Kel?"

Guess who'd NOT stayed at home like they were supposed to?
This trio - Sindri, Kadri, and Quetzal - that's who!
Being at home was boring, but being in the mountains where mom and dad and Uncle Beltan were? Now THAT was interesting! Thankfully, their "babysitter" was of a like mind and had all but jumped at the opportunity. The only issue they'd run into so far was the fact that APPARENTLY neither Kadri nor Quetzal could walk on land and... well... it didn't look like things here were particularly well-suited for the naiad. I mean, when was the last time you heard of a fish ascending a mountain? It'd been quite a pain to find the water-filled tanks that could accomodate the pair of them.
This may have been one of the first times that Sindri was glad that at least he could, you know, walk.
He may have smirked just a bit to his bro as a result.
"Yo, so it sucks to be you two right now, so I'm going to go and, I dunno, WALK around somewhere. 'Kay? Kay. Good luck! Ciao!" The teen offered a solidary wave as he promptly ditched his comrads for a more convenient, albeit selfish, experience.

Pelothos smiled at his brother. Then noticed the small, squirming mass at his chest. Eyebrows raised, he nodded his chin toward it and easily said "Oh dear brother! You sound as tho you're coming down with something. Perhaps you should go to your room before us?"
Pū however, was visibly alerted to the cooing of her name. Since ya know, cat hearing. Turning toward the coughing brother, she marched over and swatted at his legs. "No place for seed!" she growled quietly, eyes darting around to see if anyone had noticed.
Her language skills had improved thanks to.the younger siblings lessons, but it still wasn't perfect. But it got the point across. Glaring at the other brother, she pointed. "Get you gone. Now." She pointed toward the stairs. "No place for seeds."
Pel turned toward his arriving son and raised an eyebrow. "Why on earth would you try to plant things in this weather?" He asked, head turned in confusion much as a dog would.
As grace would have it tho, before more than a second had passed, a sound crossed his ears. Oh....yes. he missed those grunts of displeasure. "AH yes. It seems you're father knows we're here. Be a dear and go invite him to dinner, will you my darling pothos babies?"

Tirzah was grown, now, and that meant it was time for her to start her own family. And the way you did that, as she understood it, was you waited for a lavish but somewhat suspicious party to happen, and you went, and if you were lucky you’d get a baby at the end. At least, that was what she’d been able to cobble together from the half-explanations she’d gotten from her mother and grandfathers. None of them had been all that forthcoming when she’d asked, least of all Thaddeus, who had just sort of blushed and stammered at her.
On the other hand, none of them had dissuaded her when she’d announced her intention to attend the Venus Day party on Aura Nin. It wasn’t too far to travel from their home in To’ul. So she set off, bundling up for what would undoubtedly be a cold trip.
Tirzah was delighted to see the gondolas, having prepared to climb the mountain herself. This would make things much easier! She took a seat in one and relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. The snow blowing about felt very romantic! She had a good feeling about all this.
