 Vash grins as his hand is grabbed "No such thing as ditching a party with lovely ladies such as yourself present" He follows her onto the dancefloor not realizing she may or may not be drunk. But that was okay, he was getting to protect this lovely lady more. When they reach the floor, he picks up on the beat of the music moving with it, spinning her some in an effort to bring her close to him with the hand holding hers wrapped around them and thats where the darkness enveloped them.

Ariel had been bopping along with the music, collecting little treasures from tables as she went. Not like thief or something silly like that, but if she saw a thingamabob or a whatchamacallit she liked... surely the party-givers wouldn't miss one or two...

Kasharu is stunned for a moment and then shrugs "Its a party you fuddy duddy" he calls after her. What was the point in going to a party if not to have fun??? Pae like that never made Kash understand them.

Linwilen nods at the gesture of 'shall we' "Ofc course we shall" He says giving a small spin as he headed onto the floor liking how his dress reacted to the movement. He felt the music moving through him. Course noone ever gave the demon credit for dance skills... or lack there-of before the lights went out... and then the music!

It turned out there were many free things, in fact, for the unlikely duo of Shamam and Pinkilani. So many free things. Free food. Free drinks. Free drinks that warmed the little noodle from the inside and made her feel as though she could breath fire.
She was quite fond of that one.
Almost as fond as she was of all the cherubs that were literally at her beck and call to attend to any of her needs. Yes... This was the sort of treatment Shamam deserved! Not scorn for being 'too small' or 'too childlike' to be a real member of a naga clan, but earnest (as far as she could tell) praise! And the way this pink fluff of pure chaos demanded it was something Shamam intended to take to heart. Anything Pinkilani wanted, Pinkilani took! Or did!
One day they'd gone and opened up every single window and skylight in the entire building just because they wanted to! The way the cherubs had chased after them was wonderful, as was the warm water they'd enjoyed afterwards. Inside of the hotel was definitely preferable for the reptilian pae.

Fast forward a few hectic days for the staff and a delayed entrance, Shamam entered the party conveniently when the dancing began in earnest. She lifted her chest pridefully and with a smug expression before looking over to her newfound buddy-in-arms. "Behold! Even the party waits to begin until when Shamam enters!"
As for clothing, she had a spectacularly bedazzled tube top, probably picked out by Pinki, and her hair was extra soft and fluffy from her extended stay in the spa these past few days. The mask she wore was similarly gaudy in nature with a myriad of shimmering colors and very, very large feathers and decorations. Even her fingernails had been (probably begrudgingly by the cherub responsible) painted to match. The danger noodle was very happy with it all.
She'd hardly more than a few moments to bask in all her glory before the power cut out all at once. "What is this?!? Why has the party stopped! Shamam did not say to end festivities!" She exclaimed her laments to nobody in particular before quickly noticing the change in temperature - she was quite sensitive to the cold, after all. The snake about latched onto Pinki for warmth immediately. "Why is it cold?! Shamam does not like the cold!" Something curious happened this time as she yelled out, however... A puff of fire escaped from her lips.
It seems the danger noodle had evolved into a danger firecracker!

DaemonGabrielle Pū had barely entered the ballroom dressed in a tiny ballgown made of orange and red leaves laid in an ombre pattern, when she was hit on the left ear by a giant bug. She turned to Hele, whome she had found after her outing and decided she liked. He stole things. She had things of the Blue Devil's to steal. Their friendship was working out nicely. She had already let him have at that monster's stuff. She even helped him steal the keys to the other patron's rooms. It had been a very thrilling night, that night. "You believe the pests? First I deal with seeds, now pests. You bitten too?" She asked, rubbing her sore ear. She felt the bloom of happiness slowly. It started as a warm glow in her chest. And spread outward like a warm bath. Everything would be allright. She quite enjoyed bug bites!! She quite enjoyed Hele. She enjoyed the night. Tonight was such a blast!
AFTER THE 'LANCHE:
Hele looked around after the music and the lights died. Well, hell. Here the cat was holding someone's wallet. He quickly dropped it and kicked it under another pae's evening gown. There, evidence DESTROYED!
Hele pulled at his evening attire in frustration. To be fair, he literally just put on a tie, but it was annoying, dammit. When he was told to wear a mask, the tiki laughed like he didn't walk into the party with a bigass mask to start with. Well, that one he could definitely do. In retrospect he was glad to not be too saddled down.
Pū looked concerned about what was happening around them. He admired her silhouette in the soft glow from those big party Pae'il. She wasn't a bad looking girl. Nice figure.
Impure thoughts ran through his mind, causing his cheeks to glow in blush.
Wait? What was that light? It was HIM?!?! He was actually glowing?
Hele hesitated for a moment. He hadn't glowed the last time he perved out, right?
No, he coudn't have...
RIGHT?!?!?!?! D8

 Arc leaned further into Lyn's chest, sliding his arms around his friend's neck as they continued dancing, at least until the power went out. Well, that was...interesting. Arc smiled a bit as some of the pae around them started to glow. A wistful sigh left him as he looked up at Lyn. "Isn't this kind of...romantic?" he murmured, not noticing at first that his own skin started to glow a myriad of rainbow colors.

 Noelani giggled a little at the way he flirted with her. It was kind of cute. She was even having fun dancing with him, at least until the lights went out. "Boooo!" she called out and huffed. This sucked. She leaned back against Vash a little, leaning her head back to look up at him. "You're a pretty good dancer, though," she said and offered him a slightly creepy smile. "So. Avalanche. Now what?" she grumbled as she looked around. Seemed like a lot of pae were glowing. Not fair, she wanted to glow! She stomped a foot and gasped at the sudden light and heat from the movement. Her foot was on fire! She yelped and shook her foot until the flames went out. "What the hell?"
 Kai turned to see an odd looking harpy in a tux approaching him. The lights had gone out but he put off his own light, and quite a few of the pae around him had begun glowing. He chuckled a little at her strange little promise. "Is that so? I won't lie, I would like to be magnificent even under water," he said and gave her a crooked smile.

 Zhong smiled. "Rosie. I like it," he chuckled softly. The purple fire bird did not mind one bit when the lights went out and Rosie clung to him. He grimaced as they were told about the avalanche, but the fact that she was glowing was pretty cool. "I kind of like the glow," he said and smirked. "Relax, we'll be fine in here." He held her close against his chest to try and help her calm down, idly wondering why she was glowing.
When that green harpy from before came over to check on Rosie, he grumbled. "Hi Minty," he said, still holding on to Rosie as he looked Mossy over. She was glowing, too. "Did you girls glow before tonight or is that new?" he wondered.

 Ea was quite happy dancing with Toby in any way they wanted, despite the music. When the power cut out, the pink naiad let out a little shriek and clung to Toby a bit. "A-avalanche?" she squeaked fearfully. A light started glowing near her and she turned back to Toby and gasped. "You're glowing!" she said, awe in her voice. She reached up to touch his cheek and yelped as a static shock sparked between them. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that, are you okay?" she asked worriedly.

Tirzah thought this party was getting really fun: the music was pounding through her veins, she was feeling sexy and confident and enjoying moving her body, and was it just her, or had Rhoea gotten really attractive? Like....REALLY attractive. Tirzah had more than half a mind to invite him up to her room after the masque was over.
And then all the lights had gone out. Tirzah gasped and clung to Rhoea. Despite the situation, she found herself enjoying how he'd also pulled her close. She liked a man with protective insticts. She wasn't afraid of the dark, by any means, but the very sudden darkness and rush of cold surprised her. Then when the cherub had burst in...an avalanche? Tirzah looked up and around. She didn't like to feel trapped. Her cheeks burned and she felt, overall, quite flushed. Hot and cold at the same time--great.
"Yes, yes of course, let's find him." Tirzah felt a tiny ping of jealousy, which wasn't in her nature, but quickly squashed it. Now was not the time to be petty. They could sort all that out once they all got out of here. She lifted her head and started looking for the golden orange faun as well.

Zhixuan's heart leapt in her chest at Zhi's approach. She was a fierce hen, and she was well aware and proud of this. And she still felt that fierceness around him--she'd do anything to protect him--but Zhi also awakened a lovesick softness in her. Her stomach fluttered when she saw him, and when he spoke, she melted.
"Why, thank you, sir," responded Zhixuan with a little giggle, taking his hand. "You are always radiant, and tonight especially so." She was excited to dance and be close with Zhi, and even the thought of having to defend him from other harpies thrilled her.
So when the music died and the room turned cold, Zhixuan's response was to screech with rage. Again, she did not enjoy the cold, and this is not what she signed up for. She swept the room for an exit. She'd tear something apart if she had to. Come to think of it, Zhixuan was distinctly feeling like she legitimately could tear something apart.
"We've gotta get out of here," she said to Zhi, still looking for a way out.

For Neo, it felt like the party was just beginning. He had considered asking the female he was talking to to dance, mostly because everyone was doing it, and it would be far less awkward than continuing a conversation about their mutual attractiveness. He didn't get that opportunity though as the music abruptly stopped, at least the pumping music stopped.
As the hall plunged into darkness there was still the soft sound of some instrumental music which sounded rather eerie with everything else considered. The place became cold so quickly, which Neo couldn't understand. His eyes attempted to adjust to the darkness, there was some faint glowing here and there that seemed to help. Some pae were still dancing, who could dance at a time like this. Neo had been to enough of these things to know that something wasn't right. The music quickly became drowned out in the murmurs of other pae who seemed to be trying to problem solve.
"Uh... miss?" He responded as she called out for him. Sexy fae... cringe. He didn't know her name either though. He squinted through the darkness, and even though he could make out some shadows of pae from the meager illumination, he couldn't see a pae standing right in front of him. "Are you still there?" He had just heard her voice, how strange. Neo's fingers began to feel tingly and he drew his hands close to his face to try to inspect them, rather useless in the dark, though there was a strange white buzzy sort of light that seemed to be coming from them. As his hands moved closer to his face the hair on his head began to stand even more on end than it usually did. "Not again... I need to get out of here." he thought out loud.
