User ImageSuluhu stood at the edge of the Kizi lands, gazing out as many of the Watchers of the pride often did. While they stood as sentries protecting the lands, she stood as a curious and eager lioness, wondering what lay beyond the horizon. Many rogues had joined the pride since she'd been born, bringing stories of their home prides, of dangers, of pain and sorrow, joy and laughter, and while it had all been interesting nothing had ever really caught her attention to make her want to go seek it out herself. Suluhu had been quite content to stay within the Kizi even when things had gotten a bit out of control.

But now thing were mellow. The chaos had resolved itself and the pride was back to a constant and steady baseline. It was only then that Suluhu had started to have visions. It hadn't come as too much of a surprise since all of her siblings had visions from time to time, but she'd never had one until a few moons prior. She'd seen her mother and father - well...technically stepfather, as her true sire was a god, but Vodnitvar had raised her and her siblings as his own - in a den, the background muddled as if trying to look at it through water. A few nights later another vision, and the next night another, each holding a member of the pride that had left. The details of where they were were never clear, but each vision left her feeling the push to leave, to find them and see how they were getting on.

So here she should, still on the edge of the rogue lands. Suluhu had never been afraid of much in her life, and even now she wouldn't label her emotion as fear. There was a bit of hesitation since she was about to leave behind everything she knew and loved, but it wasn't as if she couldn't come back if the pride called to her. Closing her eyes, Suluhu took a deep breath and lifted her paw, taking that first small step.

She didn't open her eyes until she'd taken a few strides out of the jungle that the Kizi called home. She paused, turned to look at where she'd come from, and smiled widely. This was the start of a new chapter for her and she was going to enjoy it.

Turning forward once more, Suluhu broke into an easy trot, soon a speck on the horizon. If someone was watching from the jungle it wouldn't be long before she was gone, the only thing left behind was her scent. She had a mission now, and although she didn't know how long it would take, Suluhu knew something within her would tell her when she was done. Maybe her paws would bring her back to the Kizi, but perhaps her calling lay out among the rogue lands. Only time would tell.
