To be honest, I don't quite see the womans sufferage bit. I do see some great detail up top and slipping away as it moves down. Also, the blood spatters could use a bit of help. On clothing, the blurred edges are quite understandable. Against a wall, floor, something that's not made of cloth, the edges would need to be harder and pooled or dripping. Add in a better background and you'd have yourself a good piece.
