- Very nice. I like your originality. I've seen pictures of roses and most of them are focused on the center. I love the vibrant color and the quality. Most importantly the lighting. Good job!

- The point of the shot was not to focus on the budding centre, it is to be the unfolding petal. Not every photograph has to focus on the centre of an object, I've seen wonderful work focusing on the outermost part of the object to give a sense of it coming towards you. :/

- If the central petals were in focus, it would be better. The others don't necessarily need to be focus, but the central area being out of focus is very distracting.
