• A cold day where it's warm
    Frozen tears of happiness
Fell from the pillows of the sky
    Onto our town, our Nest

Supporting my baby on my hip
Me and him look at her and sigh
    She looks at snowflakes
As they fall from her sky

As if a groundhog, coming out
To give the world his Shadow Test
She sticks our her tongue carefully
Snowflakes gather as if looking for a place to rest

    Would she remember this moment?
    Remember this moment next year,
As she learned more of the world,
Her growing up came too near

    Would she remember this moment
    In another five years?
    As she makes her friends
    Giving her smiles and tears

    Would she remember this moment?
    In another ten years?
    As she developed nervous knowledge
    Giving her excitement and fears

Her plush body was warm to the touch
An angel of snow, she was in my arm
Each snowflake as unique as her
Each, like her, with their own charm

    Would she remember this moment?
    In another twenty years?
    When she's grown and gone
    Leaving me smiling, in tears?

    Smiling as she giggled,
Hearing her joy, I realized all was fine
    Life was made of moments
And this was a moment of a lifetime
