Lisa Garland is a nurse who worked at Alchemilla Hospital who took care of Alessa Gillespie. Lisa did not understand what was keeping the girl alive, and constantly replacing the bandages took a toll on her sanity. Alessa saw Lisa's care as actual affection. This is most likely the reason why Lisa retains her human form and individuality during Silent Hill.
