Matamune was a spirit cat that served the Asakura family for 1000 years, He was assigned to accompany Yoh Asakura to meet Anna for the first time and eventually befriended Yoh and became his first Guardian Spirit.
The fire around the avi show that he is a spirit. I know he has 2 tails but that item is expensive and I didn't have enough gold. I gave him a book because he is seen reading many times within the Manga - Date: 08/16/2009
