- Regardless of whether she goes underwater or not, a blue background would greatly benefit this cosplay. You could get away with it too, because the people who have commented so far think that is an underwater scene. I've seen the anime to an extent, and it's not like she can't go underwater, it's just never shown. I don't get why it's such a big deal. xD I think it would look better.

- What she is saying is that putting an underwater background will not only make it match your reference image better, but it will make the overall cosplay look better as well. She is not judging your because of it, she is just giving you advice.

- The blue is a background. She can only be summoned in water. She doesnt live in the real world she is a spirit. Please dont judge me on something about her when you dont even know her
