If you zoom out a little and not focus so much on those lips, they look thin and neutral. Up close, of course you'll see they look like girly lips.

And if I used something more like the tone color of the base, he would look dead. I tried it. Believe me. So I used the rosy color for the artistic rendition of color. Like what you see in those realism, artistic paintings of Angels and cherubims. The artist tends to always give rosy cheeks and lips. And I see it as beauty features, some boys actually have that in them. So that's what I wanted to give Ventus as well. Handsomeness, to its full potential.

Plus the thickness of the lashes when their eyes are closed.

As for the lips, I would have used La Belle's gentle smile, to achieve that peacefully sleeping feel, but I had no gold to get them. This was all I had.

Ventus is sleeping. I meant to make him look like he was sleeping. Per the symbolism of Ventus, and my artistic rendition, going perfectly with the heart of light you can see outside of his chest. And thought to use the most neutral (nice looking lashes. This one was perfect because it has shadows that make the eyelids look more realistic and not flat.) Aside from the fact in the game thats how Tesuya Nomura planned the eyelids of his characters to look like.
