Dark Samus is a being of Phazon taking on the form of Samus Aran and serves as the main antagonist in Metroid Prime 2 and 3. She was created after Samus' Phazon suit and DNA merged with the Metroid Prime's remains in a pool of Phazon. In this form, she is capable of using similar abilities and weapons as Samus and can create clones of herself called "Dark Echoes".
