The music was beating loudly, and Elphaba could hear it outside. Once again she checked to make sure that the hat Galinda gave her was on properly. Oh, how Elphaba wished to be normal. Carefully she climbed the steps to the Ozdust Ballroom, thinking of how people would look at her and say, "There is Elphaba, she's normal."
