When he was born his father and mother were killed by rogues. He was adopted by an old samurai, who taught him the way of the sword and later became like a father to him. He too was killed during a pillaging of the tea shop he was at. When the boy heard what happened, he swore he would use his power to protect people. His master's spirit is still lives on inside a crow, always by his side reminding him of his goal.
