The death of a star: an infinitely destructive and creative act. Someday our sun will meet the same fate, and our solar system will be annihilated, turned into cosmic dust. Out of the remnants of the earth and our other neighboring planets, new ones will be assembled over a long span of time. And any memory or evidence of the human race will be gone forever.

- also, ou sun is too small to go supernova. after blasting off it's corona and becoming a red giant, it will slowly fade into oblivion.
