- you wanna protect and serve join the Army. Kevlar vests suck, i hope you know they only stop pistol rounds up to .38 special and a knife puncture. Be cool dont be a tool, get ceramic plates rated for 7.62mm and save your life for real but nothing. I have been to iraq twice. this is real service and not some doughnut munching competition
