Sometime ago I was killed and my funeral was long ago. The murder was never caught but it never mattered. But it mattered to my cat. She was there with me when I died. Hissing and clawing my murderer and trying to save me. In the end she couldn't save me for my killer had thrown her in an empty room and locked her in. She was so loyal.

One day my murderer had visit my grave. I will never understand why but it did not matter to my beloved cat. She hissed and clawed like that day so many years ago. She was much stronger now and full of wrath. She killed my murderer. She was so loyal.
Now she haunts my grave, my nekomata, and protects me still. She is so loyal.

Years of guarding my grave had made her stronger and allowed her to change. Her tail grew and eventually split in two. Those of the living were no able to see her and she even knew how to look like me to allow my loved ones to see 'me' on the annual visits to my grave. She was even able to touch, or even hurt, the living. She was my nekomata. She was so loyal.

When it I was discovered, everyone was too busy fussing over my corpse that they ignored the cries for help in that room. Mewing to stay by my side but no one listened. After my funeral, my cat died in that room, alone because she tried to save me. She was so loyal.
My cat couldn't move on. She felt she failed to protect me, but I never blamed her. Always at my grave, she protects me. She was so loyal.
