- Description: After a great war vampires were banished to the frozen lands by the wizards. The magical folk say it fits our ice cold hearts, as if we have no emotions or feelings ourselves. Yes we need blood to survive but we need not kill to do so, and mostly we prefer not to. It's messy and imprudent. However like any rule their are exceptions, and it is these few vampiric beasts, that leave a trail of death in their wake that are responsible for our current predicament.

Over the years however we have learned to live with it. Developed a bit of a life for ourselves.
You might wonder how we survive in a land inhospitable to humans. Well the main reason regular humans don't venture this far is due to the savage beasts that live here. All sorts of creatures, on four legs and two, with wings and even those that slither. We of course can defend ourselves well enough against such creatures as long as we are not outnumbered.

So then the only issue is blood right? We live half off of the blood of the creatures that live in these lands, taking care of course not to kill too many of any species that it offsets the balance. We also have an agreement will several villages that moved to the area along with us. We provide protection and give the meat of the creatures we hunt to the humans, keeping only the blood for ourselves. In exchange the humans offer some of their blood to help sustain us. - Report As Spam

I am still considered just a child amongst my kind, having been born many years after the banishment. I am a Protector, the warriors of the vampires who are charged with the protection of not only the rest of the vampire race and the humans who live among us, but also the safety of vampiric history and culture.
