Lance spent his whole life being a flight engineer for a twisted group of raiders that murdered his family. He came across a griffon because of one of his comrades; near death, he saved the creature and claimed it as his own. Eventually he escaped the raiders and now spends his days wondering the towns of Barton. He is fascinated with the mechanics of umbrellas, and always has a drink in hand.
Everyone refer to him as the eccentric, but only his tiny griffon knows the truth.
