- Description: Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, is a major deity in the Shinto religion of Japan. She is the sister of Susanoo, the storm god, and Tsukuyomi, the moon god, all of which are the offspring of the diety Izanagi. Her name is derived from the word "amateru", which means "shining in heaven". Obviously, this is not meant to be a cosplay, but rather my own interpretation of this grandiose and radiant goddess.
