Our Home Hatched Chick<br />
<br />
Chicky lived a hard life. She & her brother were born perfectly healthy chicks until a week later when her brother stopped eating and walking. 3 days later he died. 2 days after that Chicky also got sick but she still kept eating. We thought for sure she would also die but a month later she was eating on her own & walking again. But it was only a matter of time until she got sick again & died within' a matter of hours.<br />
Chicky was the sweetest, most fluffiest chick nearly anyone had met. She was tame and liked to be handled. I think its cause she knew & appriecated everything we did for her. We actually didnt give her the name Chicky cause we didn't expect to live much longer & we saw no point in naming her & getting attatched. So everyone just called her Chick, Chicky, or Little Chick. Chicky kinda caught on best though. Of course the guys wouldnt call her that so thats where the other 2 names came from.<br />
To me, Chicky was the equivalent of a dog, & she'll always be in my heart.<br />
