    Scully's Abduction: Freakiest Day of My Life <br />

    I had logged in normally around 10:30 am, then tried to log on again around 2:00 pm. No matter how carefully I typed, Gaia wouldn't let me log in. My username and password have been the same since I created this character in 2005, so I assumed that I had been hacked. It happens so often these days, and my old password would not have been hard to guess (foxmulder).<br />

    So I got on my main account, and tried to file a hacking report. But when I put in "DanaKScully" as the hacked account, I got an error message saying that her account name did not exist! I cleared the form and tried again: same result. I then did a search on "Friends and Enemies", and DanaKScully didn't come up ... but two other users did, one without a name showing.<br />

    At this point, I was convinced that I was hacked. I tried to log in a couple of times more with the same negative result. I gave up ... she was out of my control and gone, and there was nothing I could do.<br />

    A friend PMed with sympathy and a suggestion: if her profile was still working, she probably wasn't gone. I tried once again to file a hacking report with no success. In a fit of desperation, I tried to log in again ... successfully. 12 hours after she disappeared, my Scully account was back online, completely intact and working fine.<br />

    Maybe she was abducted by aliens ... I don't know. All I know is that my other accounts were working just fine while Scully vanished for half of Friday the 13th. Too much of an X-File for me!
