• Artist Info: Welcome to my profile. This is my supposed "about me" section, but I'm going to try and keep things very simplified, as opposed to writing a biography. If you really want to know something else about yours truly, just ask.

I am of adult age, and have been on Gaia Online going on eight years (Since 2005). I am most active in roleplay guilds at this time. In the past, I've roleplayed a lot around Barton Town, and farmed in zOMG!, but sometimes I dipped into General Discussion and Chatterbox just to lurk and amuse myself. I am of course, female (if you couldn't tell). I try to be polite and have good sentence structure whenever I post.
As far as my appearance goes, I am told I am attractive enough to be a model. I know lots of people that make their picture available on their profile, but since the internet is rife with trolls and people who will insult you just because, I choose not to make my real life picture available. If you must know, I'm European-heritage white, above average height, of normal weight (not over or under), and have green eyes and naturally dark-blonde hair, though that's usually dyed a vivid unbleached violet red color (not ashamed to admit that, it's not exactly a color that occurs naturally). I'm quite pale, my skin wouldn't tan even if I wanted to. I'm what I call a "functioning" Goth, with enough dark influence to look good and have a distinct look, but not enough to look like a freak compared to "normals" when I go to the store or something. However, I do have a horrible fixation on corsets, high heels, and black patent leather.
I have been battling severe chronic depression since being diagnosed in 2004, and have formerly tousled with some serious problems with self-injury, anorexia, and suicide attempts. I'm also a survivor of child abuse. Each and every day brings a new challenge for me, but on the upside, it has taught me how to stay positive and be empathetic towards other people, and given me more awareness for my emotions than most people have. I consider myself more "level-headed" now than I was when I was first diagnosed, but I still have my moments. Please don't judge me based on this, I promise you that not all of us are serial killers and rapists waiting to break free. Being depressed doesn't mean I don't have a conscience.
I'm a serious roleplayer. That means mostly literate. My favorite roleplays include fantasy and horror genres. However, I'm not very fond of "decorated" format posts with pretty pictures and special font characters ripped from the Windows Character Map, and think that doing too much of it detracts from the character, instead of adding to it. I don't know who started this trend in Barton Town (it came on around 2010 or so), but I can attribute it to the primary reason that I stopped going to Barton Town.
Some other things I'm interested in:

Hobbies
~ Sewing, cosplay, and doll-making
~ Computer-generated art, including modifying character models ("skinning" wink and designing levels in video games
~ Cooking and baking
~ Playing Video games (mostly ones for computer or vintage consoles, that aren't subscription MMORPGs, or pure FPS)
~ Listening to music (my favorites include all types of Metal and Electronica, most types of Jazz, Alternative Rock, and Indie Rock, and certain types of Pop, Hip-Hop, and Country)
~ Creative Writing, creating characters mostly. My brain is always trying to analyze stories and figure out some kind of algebraic equation.
~ Roleplaying and Tabletop Roleplaying (I'm most into White Wolf's World of Darkness, but I also have interest in Dungeons and Dragons)
~ Word puzzles (like crosswords)
~ Reading about real-life crimes
~ Pets! I love spending time with my adorable mini dachshund, but I love all breeds of dogs and cats. I also like hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even reptiles, though I've never had any of those as a pet. I get along with animals better than I get along with people.
~ Some TV and Movies, mostly lots of romantic comedies and dramas, but I'm into anything that has serious character development in it

Pet Peeves
~ People who can't get over themselves. This includes attention whores, braggarts, hypocrites, the aggressively rude, and the stubbornly opinionated, which also includes the discriminatory.
~ Bad roleplayers: people who metagame, godmod, powergame (min-maxing characters is the worst), play favorites, or use their characters for their own out-of-character goals or personal gain, to the point it stops being realistic.
~ Senseless violence. People who commit child abuse, animal cruelty and domestic abuse just make me sick. I can understand why people do it, but I've never seen any situation where a person committed the former acts with a truly sympathetic reason, it can always be racked up to colossally bad judgement.
~ Society's views. If you ever get me into a conversation about sociology, I can attribute many of society's problems as cause-and-effect for its own views it forces on people. Not all of it is bad though.
~ Facebook, and the social media movement. Twitter and Tumblr aren't that bad, but I hate all the bad things surrounding Facebook. The things it browbeats you into doing for "friends" and popularity are a little ridiculous, not to mention the complete abandonment of privacy that comes with a Facebook account, as well as the "casual" games that get people addicted. I don't think I'll ever get a Facebook account.
~ Twilight... do I need to explain this one? Horrible Thesaurus-dependent purple prose writing, abysmal characters that have no flaws and have no development in the story, vampires being portrayed as universally awesome with no drawbacks whatsoever, and an author that uses "fantasy" as an excuse for "it doesn't have to make sense", for everything from geography (herp derp, west coast of Brazil) to biology (lol vampire venom that makes girls infertile but boys still intact!). Typically I think demolition is always easier than construction, but I know hundreds of roleplayers out there (myself included) that could probably write better characters and a better universe than the worthless drivel Twilight is selling. And yet Stephenie Meyer is the one rolling in piles of money...
~ Bad grammar. Seriously, with spellchecks being imbedded into practically anything you can type in these days, and with multiple English classes being required in most parts of the US, there is no excuse for someone that speaks English as their native language to have horrible spelling, grammar, and punctuation. People don't forget how to add and subtract when they aren't in school, but apparently they forget to spell and speak properly.
~ Aggressive Drivers. Well, there's no getting around these guys, but they are jerks, and I do endorse driving defensively. Extremely defensively.
