    I find that, in a situation where opinions are strongly felt and a single comment can explode into dissent, if you have nothing peaceful to say then there are only two suitable solutions when you stand in the middle: silence, and ellipses.<br />
    <br />
    I hate arguments that lead nowhere. Everyone's just so touchy about what they believe in, and it's usually an issue that can never be compromised. I'd hate dissent, too, but that's not practical. I have dear friends and mentors on both sides of all the arguments out there; as a person who often finds herself in the middle, this is a rule I live by.
