    Sebastian Michaelis is the demon butler of the Phantomhive Household. There he loyally serves the earl Ciel Phantomhive in exchange for the prize of Ciel's soul after the boy achieves his revenge on those responsible for his parents' brutal murder.<br />
    <br />
    He is steadfast in his manners despite Ciel's constant testing of his nerves.<br />
    <br />
    Sebastian can often be found referring to himself as ″one hell of a butler“ or may use similar lines. This is a play on words he seems to enjoy using to mock his demonic origins.<br />
    <br />
    Sebastian adores cats. Unfortunately for him, Ciel is allergic to felines and, thus, refuses to allow him to keep a cat as a pet. <br />
    <br />
    Sebastian's faustian contract ﹙or demon seal﹚ is located on his left hand, whereas Ciel's corresponding contract is on his right eye.
