• Artist Info: The creature stared up at Jento with its cold, dead eyes. There were stitches below his left eye and a portion of his torn mouth had been partially stitched as well. His right ear had a huge chunk missing off the top. Jento thought he looked as though he had been mauled by a grizzly bear. The creature growled as it lurched towards him with a hungry look in his eyes. Jento knew his best bet against this thing was to run and fast.
He ran until his lungs felt like they would surely burst through his chest. Stopped to catch his breath he looked for a place to hide. He found an open door to a raggedy, old blue house and ran inside, hoping he had not been seen. Then he found himself in what resembled as a kitchen at one point in time. Then he heard crying coming from upstairs. Sounds of what seem to be like a child crying. He made his way through the kitchen and to the stairs which he believed might cave in, so he slowly he crept upstairs. About halfway up he could hear something following him up the stairs. Jento began to take two steps at a time until he reached the top of the two floors.
Jento made it to a room up stairs, closed the door quickly, and locked it. He look down and just below the door a shadow crept by. Breathing hard as he backed away from the door, he then stepped on something that lay upon the rug of the bedroom. He glanced down at it. It was a doll with an eye missing, stitched lips, and torn limbs with dried blood on it.
A little girl was crying in the corner of the room behind a bed. She was wearing a light pink night gown with blood all over it and ratted hair. She looked as though she’d been attacked and drug around by a wild pack of vicious wolves. She looked up at Jento. She was wearing a mask with a crack down the right side and dark holes on where the eyes were supposed to be. He could not see within them, therefore he did not know if she was looking at him or something else. Sounds of scratching came from the door, he looked back at the door and then back at the girl. She was gone.
Jento began to panic as he tried to think of a way out, because they were trying to claw their way through the door. Jento had no other choice but to go out the window. He began to pry open the window, but it would not budge, for the fact that it had been nailed down. Something jumped onto him forcing him through the glass of the window. Rolling down, he was cut up by the shingles, and thrown off the roof. He hit his head on a big rock in the yard, and he was out cold.
As he was coming to, barely able to open his eyes, lying there on his back he looked around, trying to make sense of his surroundings of where he was. Rain started to fall from the gray sky. He lays there for a little bit more as the rain hits his face, then turned his head slightly to the right side his attention was drawn to a dark figure resting face down upon the grass closer to the house not far from where he was. He looked at it for a while trying to figure out what it could be. It began to move getting on its hands and knees. As Jento laid there staring up at the creature he realized that this was the same girl from the bedroom. He tried to rise from the ground, and then felt all light headed, and fell back down. He put his hand on the back of his head, and felt something wet. Looking back at his hand he could see a bright, red liquid on the tips of his fingers. He looked stared back at the girl, and saw that she was standing on her two legs. She was looking towards the ground, blood dripped from her face to the grass and her bare feet.
Jento was alerted to the loud clamoring of the creatures swarming as they stared to gather all around the fence of the back yard, trying to tear it down to get him. They seemed to multiply by the dozen as they poured out of the windows and doorways of all the buildings, getting closer by the second. In shock and disbelief, not to mention the confusion he felt, from the severe gapping hole in back of his throbbing skull, he forced himself to rise up and to get out of there. Barely able to get to his feet, but managed to stand up on his two legs. He felt a sharp pain through out his right leg, he glanced down to see that there was blood seeping out of his pants leg of his jeans. With no time to see how bad it might be, he ignored it and tried to limped out to where he might be safe, but there was no where to go.
Seeing that there was no one near the house he decided to go over there, and then came to a halt only to find right in front of him was the girl from the room. Part of her mask had fallen off and could now see the dead look in her one eye. There were scars around her mouth as if she had, had them stitched like the others. She opens her mouth and lets out a screech as she lunged towards him she managed to slam him back to the ground. Jento had his arm up to her throat keeping her from biting him. He finally shoved her off and tried stand up quickly, but it was too late she had jumped back at him, he put his arm up once again, and that was a bad idea. Her sharp, jagged teeth bit into his flesh, gripping a chunk of skin tissue on his arm. He slammed the palm of his hand into hand into her forehead forcing her to let go and knocking her backwards. Not giving up so easily she lunged towards him for the third time, but the loud sudden screech of wailing siren caused her to stop. The creatures stopped in their tracks grabbing at their ears moaning and screaming. They turned and stumbled out of sight. Jento, weak from injury and fear began to fade out again in the distance he could see a man and woman walking his way. He was out cold.
