There is a tale, now only song,
Brought forth by bards and ever long,

That tells the truth of this one brave Queen,
Her castle stolen by an ogre fiend,

Her journey there with loyal Hound,
And the Hunter who restored her crown...

Once upon a distant time, atop the foreign, verdant hills,
lived a couple who took sick, and only left two meager wills.
Not a morsel in the house, the daughters split inheritance,
but elder sister was not through 'til she took all of prevalence.
Younger sister kept the Hound, for he would starve if left to stay,
and otherwise her mother's ring, to help her keep her grief at bay.
Neither hearth nor home to warm, the Younger set out on her path,
when Hunter's call slowed her feet, to warn her of a beastly wrath.
Hunter bought her mother's ring, for just three arrows and a bow,
cautioned her to stay away from stony walls as white as as snow.
Into wood with bow and Hound, the Younger stuck to tested trail,
lost the way among the trees, and found herself before stones pale.
Hunter's warning in her mind, she turned and made to run away,
but to her shock, spoke the Hound; he bade his master there to stay.
They could rout this nasty thief, a king who stole a castle home.
Why should he stay warm within, when rightful owners fled to roam?
Younger maiden raised her bow, her fingers tightened o'er the wood,
the dog was right, and so she swore; she promised to do all she could.
Through the gardens growing wild, they walked together 'cross the door,
therein sat the beast of tell, just resting there upon the floor.
Hound leapt forward suddenly, with bravery and canine might;
Younger shot her arrows true, for hope went with them in their flight.
Ogre, bested, fled away; to dark and shady forest went.
Younger fell upon her knees, as tears of grief and sorrow spent.
Broken arrows could not hunt the food her Hound had bravely won.
They had fought, victorious, but now their lives had been undone.
As she wept, the Hunter strode right past the bright and snowy walls,
There he heard the Younger's cries, and so he rushed into the halls.
Into hand he took her arm, and urged she notice the ring's face
signaling her lineage, for polished silver proved her place.
Symbols marked on tapestries, and all matched on the silver band,
there she stood upon her ground, and there she had avenged her land.
Hunter knelt and did insist, that all would show her loyalty,
all she need do is accept her lineage and royalty.
Hesitant, she rose again, and gazed upon the silver ring,
never had she nearly thought such fortune could take eager wing.
Hunter sworn and by her side, the Hound at last laid down to wane,
promise kept beyond his years, at last restored the rightful reign.
So she ruled from silver throne, and people celebrated true,
for they thrived within her care, and all along her kingdom grew.
Cheer and joy unanimous, ne'er a soul she did not save;
all would prosper under watch of their Queen Arria the Brave.
